Noyer is a timber oyster rather than a timber-look one: the outer ring is real walnut, wrapped around an aluminium chassis with a polycarbonate diffuser in the centre. At Ø330 mm and only 80 mm deep this is the smallest of the four, and it is the one that works where a light has to be quiet — a bedroom, a study, a hallway, or a room with a low ceiling where a pendant would be in the way.
Output runs 2,000–2,200 lm across a 120° spread, which is enough to be the only light in a bedroom of roughly 3 × 4 m or a decent hallway. If the room is a main living space, step up to the 420 mm or 510 mm body rather than adding a second 330; the larger sizes are the same 80 mm depth and the same 3,000 mm-wide look on the ceiling, just broader.
Havit prints this on the sheet and it is worth repeating: walnut varies in colour, grain, texture and tone, and knots, mineral streaks and colour variation are inherent to it rather than faults. Two fittings from the same order will not be identical. That is the point of buying timber, but it is the wrong choice if you need an exact colour match across a run of lights.
A switch inside the fitting selects 3000K, 4000K or 5500K and is set once, at installation, before the cover goes on. 4000K is the brightest at 2,200 lm; 5500K gives 2,100 lm and 3000K gives 2,000 lm. On a walnut fitting, 3000K is usually the setting people land on — it keeps the timber warm — and it costs about 9% of the output to get there.
It is IP20 and indoor only: no bathrooms with a shower over the fitting, no alfresco, no laundry directly above a tub. The body is Protection Class 1, so unlike the polycarbonate oysters in other ranges an earth connection is required at the fitting. It runs on 240 V AC with no separate driver, is Triac dimmable, and Havit lists the HV9625 300 W LED dial dimmer as the matched control. The impact rating is IK05 and colour consistency is quoted at SDCM <6. Warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You carries all four Noyer diameters in both ceiling and pendant form, so the size can be chosen for the room and the mounting decided separately.
As a single light it covers a bedroom of about 3 × 4 m, a study or a hallway. It puts out 2,000–2,200 lm over a 120° spread. For a living or dining room, the 420 mm (35 W) or 510 mm (40 W) body is the better starting point.
Yes. Havit specifies the Noyer as Protection Class 1, so an earth must be connected at the fitting. This is a real difference from the polycarbonate oysters in the Slim and Liptor ranges, which are Class 2 and need none.
No. It is IP20 and the installation instructions state indoor use only. Timber and an IP20 body do not belong in a wet area or anywhere exposed to weather.
4000K, at 2,200 lm. 5500K gives 2,100 lm and 3000K gives 2,000 lm, so output peaks in the middle rather than at the coolest setting.
Not exactly, and it will not match the next one out of the box either. Havit states that variation in colour, grain, texture and tone — including knots and mineral streaks — is inherent to walnut and is not a defect. Treat it the way you would treat a timber floorboard, not a paint colour.
A tri-colour switch inside the fitting. The cover comes off by pressing the centre knob and twisting anti-clockwise, the switch is set, and the cover goes back on. Decide before the electrician finishes.
Yes — it is Triac dimmable and Havit lists the HV9625 300 W LED dial dimmer as the matched control. Check the dimmer’s minimum load if this 25 W fitting is the only thing on the circuit.
