The Norel PE6 is a 500 mm six-light drum pendant with rippled clear glass, in antique gold, black or polished nickel — six E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, on a 1,500 mm suspension.
⚠ The glass is clear AND textured, and that combination decides what globes to buy. Our variant names say “Clear” and the copy describes “a rippled, artisanal quality”. Both are true, and nobody explained what it means:
Clear glass reveals; ripple distorts. So you do see the globes — but broken up, refracted and multiplied by the surface, rather than as six sharp filaments. It is the middle ground between the opal fittings, where the globe is invisible, and a plain clear one, where it is exposed.
What to buy, because the globes are part of the look:
Ask us for a matched set of six.
The Norel is a drum: a cylindrical frame, 500 mm across and only 252 mm deep. That proportion — wide and shallow — is what makes it work over a dining table.
A tall pendant of the same width hangs into the sightline between people sitting opposite each other. A drum stays above it, spreading its six sources across half a metre and lighting the table evenly, while remaining something you can see past.
Six E14 to 25 W each — 150 W total, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES. (Our page called it “ES”, which is the larger E27 base. It is E14.)
The datasheet records the fitting's maximum as “1510 W” — a stray digit. Six globes at 25 W is 150 W, which is what the page states and what we have published.
With LED candles at 4 to 6 W, the real draw is about 30 W — a fifth of the rating.
It dims, with the right globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and page both say globe dependent, and they are right. On rippled clear glass dimming is particularly worth having: low, the room falls back and the scatter of refracted points is all you see, which is exactly what the texture is for. Six LEDs on one dimmer wants a matched set.
⚠ No weight is recorded for a 500 mm six-light iron and glass drum. Ask us before the fixing is chosen. Class I — earth required, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.
500 mm wide by 252 mm high, suspension 1,500 mm, in iron and rippled clear glass, antique gold, black or polished nickel. Weight is not recorded — ask us. Six E14 (SES) globes to 25 W each — 150 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

Yes, but broken up. The glass is clear and rippled: clear reveals, ripple distorts — so you see the globes refracted and multiplied by the surface rather than as six sharp filaments. It is the middle ground between an opal fitting, where the globe is invisible, and plain clear glass, where it is exposed.
Six compact E14 — candle or golf-ball — in warm 2700 K, all together and the same brand. Through rippled glass a colour mismatch is multiplied rather than hidden, so this is the one range where matching really matters. A clear decorative LED filament is excellent here: the ripple turns a single filament into a scatter of warm points.
Because wide and shallow — 500 mm across and only 252 deep — is what works over a dining table. A tall pendant of the same width hangs into the sightline between people sitting opposite each other; a drum stays above it, spreading six sources across half a metre while remaining something you can see past.
150 watts maximum — six globes at 25 W. The datasheet records “1510 W”, which is a stray digit; the page has it right. With LED candles at 4 to 6 watts the real draw is about 30 W.
With the right globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and page both say globe dependent, and they are right. On rippled clear glass it is particularly worth having: low, the room falls back and the scatter of refracted points is all you see.
Antique gold is warm and traditional — lit warm, the whole fitting reads amber. Black turns the frame into a dark outline so the glass and its refractions are all you see: the most contemporary. Polished nickel picks up the refracted light and carries it around the frame, which is the most sparkling and the closest in effect to crystal.
Not recorded, on a 500 mm six-light iron and glass drum. Ask us before the fixing is chosen.
