A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
This is the smallest Nella in the surface-mounted family and the one to reach for when there is no ceiling cavity to recess into — a concrete slab, a rammed-earth soffit, a boat or a caravan roof, or any lining too thin to take a spring-clip fitting. The body is a plain aluminium cylinder Ø75 mm across and 69 mm deep, powder coated white, and it sits proud of the ceiling rather than in it.
Both SKUs are the same 7 W light engine in the same Ø75 mm shell. The standard body is 69 mm deep; the extension body is 134 mm deep, near enough double, and reads as a short barrel rather than a puck. Choose the extension when you want the fitting to be seen as an object, or when you need the light source pushed further down away from a deep bulkhead. Optically nothing changes — same output, same beam.
Havit's ordering row gives 525 lm at 3000K, 560 lm at 4000K and 540 lm at 5500K. Read that again, because it is the opposite of what most people assume: the middle setting is the brightest, and going to the coolest setting costs you about 4% of the light rather than gaining any. Pick the colour on how you want the room to read, not on brightness. The beam is a wide 120°, so this is a general-wash fitting and not a spot. Colour rendering is CRI >80.
Both SKUs here are the 12 V DC models. They need an appropriate constant-voltage LED driver, they must be wired in parallel if more than one is on the same run, and Havit prints the limit in capitals on the installation sheet: do not connect the light fitting directly to 240 V. Because the fitting itself is extra-low voltage it is Protection Class 3 — no earth is required at the fitting, which is exactly why this version exists. Havit specifies the 12 V models as not dimmable; Triac dimming applies to the directly-wired version of the same body only, so dimming here has to be done at the driver if at all.
The base plate comes off with an anti-clockwise twist, fixes to the ceiling through two Ø4 mm holes on a Ø69 mm plate, and the fitting unplugs from its driver so the plate can be mounted first. The colour switch is inside the fitting and preset to 3000K — set it before you twist the body home, not afterwards. It is rated IP54 and IK07 with a semi-frosted glass lens, and Havit excludes aluminium fittings from sites within 5 km of salt water. Lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs and the warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You lists this body in three wattages and both finishes, so a whole ceiling can be done in one look.
Yes. Both part numbers on this page are the 12 V DC models and need an appropriate constant-voltage LED driver, sized above the total connected load. The fitting plugs into the driver rather than being hard-wired to it.
4000K, at 560 lm. 3000K gives 525 lm and 5500K gives 540 lm — so the coolest setting is not the brightest on this model. The difference across the three is small enough that you should choose on appearance.
Only the depth of the body. The standard is Ø75 × 69 mm and the extension is Ø75 × 134 mm. Same 7 W engine, same 525/560/540 lm, same 120° beam.
Havit specifies the 12 V DC models as not dimmable. Any dimming would have to happen at the driver, using a driver designed for it — the fitting has no dimming circuit of its own.
No. As an extra-low-voltage fitting it is Protection Class 3, so no earth is required at the fitting itself. The directly-wired version of the same body is Class 1 and does require one, which is why the two are not interchangeable.
It is IP54 — protected against dust and splashing water from any direction. That covers a covered alfresco ceiling or a bathroom outside the immediate shower zone. Havit also excludes aluminium fittings from sites within 5 km of salt water.
The slide switch is inside the fitting, and it ships preset to 3000K. Twist the body off the base plate, move the switch, and twist it back — so it is worth setting every fitting on a run before any of them go up.
