A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The 18 W Nella in white — the biggest body in the surface-mounted family at Ø157 mm, and in white the one that disappears best against a plasterboard ceiling despite its size. Both the standard body and the longer extension body are sold from this page, so check the part number against the size column below before you order.
The rating is IP54: sealed against dust in harmful quantity and against water splashed from any direction. That is a genuinely useful rating and it has clear edges. It covers a covered alfresco ceiling, a carport soffit, a laundry, a bathroom outside the shower enclosure, and a garage where a car comes in wet. It does not cover a directly exposed soffit taking driven rain, or anything that gets hosed. The lens is semi-frosted glass and the body is IK07 for impact.
Havit's installation sheet carries a line that is easy to skip and expensive to ignore: aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5 km of a salt-water environment. That is a warranty condition, not a suggestion, and it rules this fitting out of most beachfront and estuary jobs regardless of how sheltered the ceiling looks.
Both SKUs give 1,380 lm at 3000K, 1,430 lm at 4000K and 1,305 lm at 5500K through a 120° beam, at CRI >80. The brightest setting is 4000K — the coolest is the dimmest here. Both run on 12 V DC from a constant-voltage LED driver, wired in parallel, drawing 1.5 A each, and Havit prints the boundary in capitals: do not connect the light fitting directly to 240 V. The fitting is Protection Class 3 and needs no earth, and Havit lists the 12 V models as not dimmable.
The standard body is Ø157 × 85 mm on a Ø153 mm plate with three 4 × 10 mm slots and one Ø4 mm hole. For the extension body, Havit publishes no overall height in the sheets supplied with this product — the drawing block exists but carries no readable figure, and the supplier's own page for the extension model publishes no data sheet at all. We have left that row blank rather than scale it from the 7 W and 12 W models, which extend by 65 mm and 67 mm respectively; the pattern is suggestive and it is not a measurement. Ask us and we will get the number from Havit. Lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs, the colour switch is inside the housing preset to 3000K, and the warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You carries the black version and the two smaller bodies alongside it.
Under cover, yes — IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction, which suits an alfresco ceiling or a carport soffit. It is not suitable for a directly exposed position taking driven rain, or anywhere it will be hosed.
Havit excludes aluminium and 304 stainless fittings from installation within 5 km of a salt-water environment. It is a warranty condition, so it applies even where the ceiling itself is sheltered.
Havit does not publish an overall height for it in the sheets supplied with this product, and its own product page for that model publishes no data sheet. We have deliberately left the figure out rather than estimate it — ask us and we will get it from Havit.
4000K at 1,430 lm, against 1,380 lm at 3000K and 1,305 lm at 5500K. The coolest setting is the dimmest on this model.
A constant-voltage 12 V DC LED driver sized above the total load. Each fitting is 18 W and draws 1.5 A, so four fittings is 72 W and 6 A on the low-voltage side.
No — Protection Class 3, because the fitting itself runs at extra-low voltage.
By part number and by the size column in the table below. HV5805T-WHT-12V is the standard Ø157 × 85 mm body; HV5805T-WHT-EXT-12V is the longer extension body.
