A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The middle Nella, and the one most people actually want. Stepping from the 7 W body to this one takes the housing from Ø75 mm to Ø113 mm and the output from around 550 lm to roughly 1,100 lm — so one 12 W fitting covers the ground that two 7 W fittings would, and a room lit with fewer, larger discs usually reads calmer than the same room peppered with small ones.
Havit's row for this model reads 995 lm at 3000K, 1,125 lm at 4000K and 1,050 lm at 5500K. The brightest setting is 4000K, in the middle — the coolest setting gives back about 7% of the light rather than adding any. The beam is 120°, which is a genuine wide wash: at a 2.4 m ceiling one fitting throws a pool roughly 8 m across before it fades, so these want spacing rather than crowding. Colour rendering is CRI >80.
Both part numbers here are 12 V DC and share one constant-voltage driver when they are wired in parallel. The arithmetic is worth doing before you buy: at 12 W each, four fittings draw 48 W and six draw 72 W, so a 60 W driver runs four comfortably and six needs a 100 W unit. Leave headroom rather than sizing to the exact figure, keep the driver out of insulation so it can shed heat, and note Havit's own instruction: do not connect the light fitting directly to 240 V. The fitting is Protection Class 3, so no earth is landed at it.
The standard body is Ø113 × 75 mm; the extension body is Ø113 × 142 mm. Both are on this page and both are electrically and optically identical — the extension is a proportion and clearance choice, not a performance one. The mounting plate is Ø103 mm and fixes through three 4 × 10 mm slots plus a single Ø4 mm hole, which is a more forgiving pattern than the 7 W model's two fixed holes when you are working to an existing ceiling batten.
It is IP54 and IK07 behind a semi-frosted glass lens, rated >30,000 hrs, and Havit specifies the 12 V models as not dimmable — dimming, if you need it, has to come from a driver built for it. The colour switch sits inside the fitting and ships preset to 3000K. Aluminium fittings are excluded by Havit from sites within 5 km of salt water. Warranty is 3 years replacement. Lights For You keeps the 7 W, 12 W and 18 W bodies in stock in both finishes, which makes it practical to mix sizes down a hallway without mixing families.
At 1,125 lm on the brightest setting and a 120° beam, a 4 × 4 m living space is usually four fittings and a 3 × 3 m bedroom two. Spacing matters more than count with a beam this wide — crowding them produces overlap rather than more useful light.
Add the wattages. Each fitting is 12 W, so four is 48 W and six is 72 W — a 60 W constant-voltage driver suits four and six wants a 100 W unit. Size above the load rather than to it, and keep the driver clear of insulation.
4000K, at 1,125 lm. 3000K gives 995 lm and 5500K gives 1,050 lm — so the coolest setting is not the brightest on this model.
Body depth only: Ø113 × 75 mm standard against Ø113 × 142 mm with the extension. Same 12 W engine, same output, same beam.
Not at the fitting — Havit specifies the 12 V DC models as non-dimmable. Dimming has to be handled by a driver designed for it.
No. It runs at extra-low voltage and is Protection Class 3, so no earth is required at the fitting.
A Ø103 mm base plate with three 4 × 10 mm slots and one Ø4 mm hole is fixed first, the fitting is plugged into its driver, then the body twists clockwise onto the plate.
