xThis is the 12 V DC Nella surface-mounted downlight at 12 W, in the extension body — a deeper housing that stands further off the ceiling than the standard version. It ships with a honeycomb lens and five selectable colour temperatures.

Order codes HV5842S-BLK-EXT-12V and HV5842S-WHT-EXT-12V run on
12 V DC only and require a 12 V DC LED driver sized for the whole run. They
must never be connected directly to 240 V. A 240 V version of the same fitting
is sold under its own order codes.
The extension body, and the honeycomb lens
The extension housing gives the LED more depth, which pushes the source further back from the aperture and cuts the angle at which you can see it directly. The honeycomb lens — a fine grid across the face — does the same job optically. Together they make a surface-mounted fitting comfortable to sit under, at the cost of a little output and a slightly more prominent body.

Specifying it
The 12 W LED is built in — no globe, no socket. Five colour temperatures are selectable at installation across the 2700 K–5700 K range, giving roughly 688–1,004 lm depending on the setting, on a 60° beam. Triac dimmable subject to a dimmable 12 V driver, IP54, and the body is powder-coated aluminium in black or white.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Set every fitting in one room to the same colour temperature before the ceiling is finished — a five-position selector makes a mismatch very easy to create and impossible to hide.
Questions
Can I wire it to 240 V?
No. This is the 12 V DC version and requires a 12 V DC LED driver. A 240 V version exists under its own order codes.
What is the extension body for?
It is a deeper housing that sets the LED further back from the aperture, reducing the angle at which you see the source directly.
What does the honeycomb lens do?
It is a fine grid across the face that cuts glare, so you see light on the floor rather than a bright dot on the ceiling.
How many colour temperatures?
Five, selectable at installation across the 2700 K to 5700 K range.
Is it dimmable?

Warranties, Return & Refund Policy

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
