This is the extended-body version of the Nella 7 W surface mounted downlight. The light engine is identical to the standard model — same 7 W built-in LED, same five colour settings, same output — but the housing is 200 mm tall instead of 100 mm, so the fitting projects twice as far below the ceiling.
That extra length is a design decision rather than a technical one, and it is the only thing separating this product from its shorter sibling. A longer barrel reads as a deliberate architectural cylinder rather than a low puck, and it drops the light source further into the room — useful over an island bench, in a stairwell, or on a high ceiling where a flush fitting disappears into the plane above. If you want the same light with the smallest possible protrusion, the 100 mm standard Nella is the one to order.
Havit's data sheet puts this fitting at CRI >90 with SDCM <3 colour consistency and UGR <10 for glare. The deep baffled aperture is doing the work on that last figure — the LED sits well back from the opening, which matters more, not less, on an extended body where the fitting hangs in view.
Output follows the colour setting: 499 lm at 2700K, 512 lm at 3000K, 558 lm at 4000K, 593 lm at 5000K and 601 lm at 5700K, through a 60° beam. The five settings are selected on the fitting during installation, so one product code covers every room in a job.
This listing is the 240 V AC model: no driver in the circuit, wired directly to mains, Protection Class I with an earth connection required, and wired in parallel across multiple fittings. Dimming is Triac, matched to Havit's HV9625 dimmer. Because it is surface mounted, there is no cutout to make and no ceiling cavity depth to check — only the fixing surface itself.
IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction, and the aluminium body is rated IK08 for impact with a lamp expectancy over 30,000 hours. Gold, black and chrome trim inserts fit the same aperture if you want to change the look later.
The fitting carries Havit's 3 year replacement warranty. Lights For You keeps the standard and extended Nella bodies side by side precisely because the specification sheets do not distinguish them on anything but height — so you can choose on proportion, and know the light itself is the same.
Height, and nothing else that affects the light. This extended version is 200 mm tall against 100 mm for the standard body. The LED, the wattage, the five colour settings, the lumen figures, the beam angle and the IP rating are identical across both.
Proportion and drop. On a high ceiling a 100 mm fitting can read as a flat disc, while the extended barrel presents as a deliberate cylinder and brings the light source further into the room. Over an island bench or in a stairwell that extra 100 mm is usually the better-looking answer.
No. This is the 240 V AC model and it wires straight to mains. It is Protection Class I so an earth connection is required, which makes it a licensed electrician's installation.
None. It is surface mounted — the fitting fixes to a mounting base against the ceiling, so there is no hole to cut and no need for clearance above the ceiling line.
Between 499 lm and 601 lm through a 60° beam, depending on which of the five colour settings is selected — 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K or 5700K. The setting is chosen on the fitting at installation.
Yes, the 240 V model is Triac dimmable and Havit lists the HV9625 Triac Dimmer as the compatible control. Use a dimmer rated for LED loads and check its minimum load against the number of fittings on the circuit.
IP54 protects against dust and splashing water from any direction, which covers covered outdoor areas such as eaves and alfresco ceilings, as well as bathroom ceilings. It is not rated for immersion or high-pressure water, so confirm the specific zone with your electrician.
