Nella LED Downlight 24w Black, White CCT HV5825T Havit Lighting

The Nella 24 W rotatable is the largest of the surface-mounted downlights and the one to specify for a high ceiling, where a smaller fitting simply does not reach the floor with useful light. This listing is the 12 V DC version, and it is Triac dimmable.

This listing is 12V DC and requires a driver

Order codes HV5825T-BLK-12V and HV5825T-WHT-12V run on 12 V DC only and require a 12 V DC LED driver rated for the whole run. They must never be connected directly to 240 V. A 240 V version is sold under its own order codes. If you want the dimming, the driver must also be dimmable — a fixed-output driver cannot be dimmed at the switch no matter what the fitting supports.

Where the extra output earns its place

At up to 2,160 lm this is a lot of light from one fitting. On a 2.4 m ceiling it will be glaring; on a 3 m-plus ceiling, a warehouse conversion or a stairwell void it is the right size. Height is the deciding factor, not room area.

Specifying it

The 24 W LED is built in — no globe, no socket. Tri-colour switching covers 3000 K, 4000 K and 5500 K, giving 1,920–2,160 lm across the three settings on a 60° beam. Triac dimmable with a dimmable driver, IP54, CRI above 80, powder-coated aluminium in black or white, and the head rotates.

Coastal siting — Havit’s condition

Havit’s installation instructions for this fitting state that aluminium and 304 stainless steel fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environment. That is a condition on where the fitting may go, and it sits beside the IP rating rather than inside it: a fitting can be rated for direct rain and still fall outside this rule, because the issue is salt carried in the air rather than water landing on the surface. Earthing and protection class

This fitting runs on 12 V DC and is Protection Class 3 — no earth is required at the fitting. The isolation comes from the LED driver rather than from an earth conductor, and the fitting must never be connected directly to 240 V.
