Nella LED Downlight 18w Black, White CCT HV5824T Havit Lighting

The Nella 18 W rotatable is the larger of the surface-mounted downlights — no cut-out, and the head turns in its housing so a fitting sitting flat on the ceiling still throws light at an angle. This listing is the 12 V DC version.

Order codes HV5824T-BLK-12V and HV5824T-WHT-12V run on 12 V DC only and need a 12 V DC LED driver sized for the circuit. They must never be connected directly to 240 V. A 240 V version is sold separately under its own codes.

Rotatable, and what that buys

Because the head turns, one fitting lights a wall, a bench or a stair rather than only the floor beneath it. On a concrete ceiling where a recessed gimbal is impossible, this is how you get a directed beam — and you can see and set the angle from the floor rather than from inside the ceiling.

Specifying it

The 18 W LED is built in — no globe, no socket. Tri-colour switching covers 3000 K, 4000 K and 5500 K, giving 1,440–1,620 lm across the three settings on a 60° beam. IP54, CRI above 80, and the body is powder-coated aluminium in black or white.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. At 18 W this is bright for a low ceiling — if the mounting height is under about 2.4 m, the 12 W version usually looks better.

Coastal siting — Havit’s condition

Havit’s installation instructions for this fitting state that aluminium and 304 stainless steel fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environment. That is a condition on where the fitting may go, and it sits beside the IP rating rather than inside it: a fitting can be rated for direct rain and still fall outside this rule, because the issue is salt carried in the air rather than water landing on the surface. Earthing and protection class

This fitting runs on 12 V DC and is Protection Class 3 — no earth is required at the fitting. The isolation comes from the LED driver rather than from an earth conductor, and the fitting must never be connected directly to 240 V.
