The Nella rotatable at 12 W is the middle size of the surface-mounted family, and the one to choose when 7 W leaves a room feeling under-lit but 18 W would be glaring on a normal ceiling. This listing is the 12 V DC version.

Order codes HV5823T-BLK-12V and HV5823T-WHT-12V run on 12 V DC only and require a 12 V DC LED driver sized for every fitting on the circuit. They must never be connected directly to 240 V. The same fitting is sold in a 240 V version under its own order codes.

Choosing the wattage

At 960–1,080 lm this sits roughly double the 7 W fitting. On a 2.4 m ceiling that supports a wider grid — fewer fittings for the same light — but it also means a single fitting over a seating area will read as bright. Space by the effect you want rather than by wattage alone.

Where it works

• Living and dining areas on a concrete ceiling, spaced wider than the 7 W version allows.
• Kitchens as general light, with the head turned toward the bench rather than the cupboard fronts.
• Low-voltage runs from one central driver, no earth needed at the fitting.
• Retrofit where no cut-out is possible and 7 W would need too many fittings.

Specifying it

The 12 W LED is built in — no globe, no socket. Tri-colour switching covers 3000 K, 4000 K and 5500 K, giving 960–1,080 lm across the three settings, on a 60° beam. Triac dimmable subject to a dimmable 12 V driver, CRI above 80, IP54, aluminium powder coated in black or white, and the head rotates within the housing.

Coastal siting — Havit’s condition

Havit’s installation instructions for this fitting state that aluminium and 304 stainless steel fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environment. That is a condition on where the fitting may go, and it sits beside the IP rating rather than inside it: a fitting can be rated for direct rain and still fall outside this rule, because the issue is salt carried in the air rather than water landing on the surface.
