A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
Both part numbers on this page are the extension body of the 7 W Nella, in black and in white, on the 12 V DC supply. That is worth reading twice, because neither the title nor the handle says so. The extension is Ø75 mm across and 200 mm deep against the standard body's 100 mm — exactly double the length, on the same Ø72 mm base plate.
Nothing optical changes. Same 7 W engine, same 60° beam, same output. What changes is proportion and reach. At 200 mm the fitting reads as a slim barrel rather than a puck, which is the point in a room with a high ceiling where a short fitting simply disappears. It also drops the light source clear of a deep bulkhead, a coffer or a heavy cornice that would otherwise clip the beam before it reaches the floor. If neither of those applies, the standard 100 mm body does the same job for less money.
The slide switch inside the body gives 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 5700K, measured by Havit at 499 lm, 512 lm, 558 lm, 593 lm and 601 lm. Output rises with colour temperature across the whole range, but the total spread is about 20% — noticeably less dramatic than the 12 W body in the same range, which swings by nearly half. Colour rendering is CRI >90 with SDCM <3 binning, so consecutive fittings match each other and the colour holds over life.
These are extra-low-voltage fittings. They take 12 V DC from a constant-voltage LED driver, wire in parallel when several share one driver, and Havit prints the limit in capitals: do not connect the light fitting directly to 240 V. The fitting is Protection Class 3, so no earth is landed at it — which is what makes this version the one specified for vehicles, vessels and wet-area extra-low-voltage circuits. Havit rates the extra-low-voltage models as not dimmable: the directly-wired version of the same body is the Triac-dimmable one, and the two are not interchangeable.
The base plate comes off with an anti-clockwise twist, fixes through two 9 × 4 mm slots on a Ø72 mm, 28 mm-deep plate, and the body unplugs from its driver so the plate can be mounted and wired first. Set the colour switch — it ships preset to 3000K — before the body twists home, because reaching it afterwards means taking the fitting down. It is IP54 and IK08 with a plastic diffuser and >30,000 hrs rated life, and Havit excludes aluminium fittings from sites within 5 km of salt water. Warranty is 3 years replacement, and Lights For You carries the matching 12 W extension body for mixed-output ceilings.
The extension, on both part numbers. It is Ø75 × 200 mm; the standard body is Ø75 × 100 mm. The title does not say so, which is why the table below lists the size against each part number.
No. Both bodies use the same 7 W engine and give 499 / 512 / 558 / 593 / 601 lm with a 60° beam. The extension changes the length of the housing and nothing else.
5700K, at 601 lm — output climbs from 499 lm at 2700K all the way up. The whole spread is about 20%, so on this body the colour choice costs far less light than it does on the 12 W version.
12 V DC from a constant-voltage LED driver. Several fittings on one driver must be wired in parallel, and the fitting must never be taken straight off the house supply.
No — it is Protection Class 3. No earth is landed at the fitting, which is why this version is used where an extra-low-voltage circuit is required.
Havit specifies these models as not dimmable. Any dimming would have to be handled by a driver built for it; the fitting has no dimming circuit of its own.
No. The base plate screws to the ceiling surface and the body twists onto it, so the only hole required is for the cable. That is what makes it workable on a concrete slab.
