Product Description
xThe Nara is an 18 W adjustable LED ceiling light — a ø160 mm surface-mounted fitting rather than a recessed downlight. The order code says CTC, close to ceiling, and that is the important distinction: no ceiling cut-out is required.
Surface mounted, so no hole in the ceiling
That makes it a genuine option where recessing is impossible — a concrete slab, a rented property, a ceiling with insulation or services in the way. It also means retrofitting does not involve patching and painting.
Adjustable, so it aims
The head tilts, so the beam can be pointed at a wall, artwork or a bench rather than straight down. Combined with a 120° beam that gives a broad wash you can steer — set the aim during installation, because it is fiddly on a ladder afterwards.
Three colour temperatures, and a high CRI
3000 K, 4000 K or 5500 K, selected at installation. With CRI above 84 colours read accurately — noticeably better than a budget downlight, and worth having where you are lighting artwork, a kitchen bench or a wardrobe.
Where it works
- Concrete-slab and rendered ceilings where no cut-out is possible.
- Retrofits, with no patching or painting.
- Aiming at artwork, feature walls or a bench run.
- Rentals, where cutting the ceiling is out of the question.
Specifying it
ø160 mm, 55 mm high, in aluminium and polycarbonate, black or white. 18 W built-in LED giving 1,500 lm, beam 120°, CRI >84. It is dimmable, runs on 240 V, and is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Being IP20, keep it out of bathrooms and away from external eaves — the Macro is the IP44 option if you need one of those positions.
Questions
Does it need a ceiling cut-out?
No. It is a close-to-ceiling surface fitting, so it mounts to the face of the ceiling with no hole.
Does it aim?
Yes, the head is adjustable, so the beam can be pointed at a wall, artwork or a bench. Set the aim during installation.
How bright is it?
1,500 lm from 18 W, on a 120° beam, with CRI above 84 — noticeably better colour rendering than a budget downlight.
Can I choose the colour temperature?
Yes, at installation: 3000 K, 4000 K or 5500 K.
Is it dimmable?
Yes.
Can it go in a bathroom or under an eave?
No. It is IP20. For a splash-rated fitting, the Macro downlight is IP44.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
