Product Description
xThe Monte PE16 is a sixteen-light rectangular pendant in brass with frosted glass leaf forms — sixteen E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, on a 2,000 mm suspension.

Its own copy says “This is a heavy 3-piece kit. Kindly refer to the specifications for detailed weight information.” — and the specifications carry the wrong figure.
The datasheet attached to this product records 18.6 kg, 448 mm high and twelve lamp holders. Those are the MONTE PE12's figures — the twelve-light's datasheet has been attached to the sixteen-light product. The real sixteen-light will be heavier.
Ask us for the confirmed weight before the ceiling is opened. The twelve-light's 18.6 kg is already a structural fixing, not a hook, well past a ceiling rose or a plasterboard anchor — and this one carries four more lights. Treat it as structural, and let us get the number from Telbix first.
Sixteen leaf forms, in a rectangle
The Monte's shape is drawn from natural leaf formations — frosted glass elements on a refined brass frame, each with a globe behind it. The PE16 arranges them in a rectangle, where the PE12 is a round cluster.
That is the real difference between them, and it decides where each belongs:
- A rectangular fitting matches the shape of what it lights. Over a long dining table it runs with the table, lighting the whole length evenly — where a round cluster leaves the ends dim.
- A round fitting suits a square or round table, or a space where it is seen from all sides.
Frosted rather than clear matters here too. Each leaf glows as a whole surface rather than showing a bright point through it, so from across a room you see sixteen lit shapes, not sixteen globes. On a fitting this large that is the difference between a sculptural object and a chandelier full of visible lamps.
Sixteen globes to buy, and the glass makes it easy
Sixteen E14 to 25 W each — 400 W maximum, none supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES — a candle or golf-ball globe.
Because the frosted glass hides each globe, the choice is brightness and warmth only: no decorative filaments needed, and no requirement for the sixteen to match visually — which on a sixteen-globe fitting saves considerable trouble and money.
Use warm 2700 K — against a brass frame, cool white reads green. With LED candles at 4 to 6 W the real draw is around 80 W, a fifth of the rating. That matters here: sixteen incandescent globes would put 400 watts of heat into a closed brass and glass fitting.
It dims, with the right globes — and ✅ our record says so correctly, reading “Yes (Globe Dependent)”, which is the precise answer and which almost nothing else in this catalogue manages.
Over a dining table that is well worth having — but sixteen LEDs on one dimmer is the hardest flicker case in this entire catalogue. Do not mix brands. Ask us for a matched set of sixteen, and let us check them against your dimmer.
A three-piece kit, and what that means for the day
The Monte arrives as three pieces and is assembled on site. That is normal for a fitting of this scale — sixteen glass elements on a brass frame would not survive shipping assembled — but it means:
- Allow your electrician real time. This is not a twenty-minute install.
- Plan the access. Assembling a heavy three-piece fitting at ceiling height is a two-person job in practice, whatever the paperwork says.
- Unpack and check before the electrician arrives, so a damaged glass element is discovered on the ground rather than halfway up.
Part of a four-piece family. Monte is made as a wall light and as 8, 12 and 16-light pendants, all in the same leaf-and-brass language. The 12 is a round cluster at 770 mm; this 16 is a rectangle. If you are choosing between them, the question is the shape of the table, not the light count.

How heavy is it?
Heavier than the figure our page carries, and we would rather tell you than repeat it. The datasheet attached to this product records 18.6 kg and twelve lamp holders — those are the MONTE PE12’s figures, and the twelve-light’s sheet has been attached to the sixteen-light product. The real sixteen will be heavier. The 12’s 18.6 kg is already a structural fixing, well past a ceiling rose, and this carries four more lights. How is it different from the 12-light Monte?
Shape, not just light count. The 16 is a rectangle and the 12 is a round cluster — so the real question is the shape of your table. A rectangular fitting runs with a long table and lights its whole length evenly, where a round cluster leaves the ends dim; a round one suits a square or round table, or a space where it is seen from all sides.
What globes do I need?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
