DOMUS MONACO 1LT 2.4M POSTLIGHT

The Domus MONACO is a 2.4 metre single-head post light — 2,380 mm tall, die-cast aluminium with a moulded acrylic lens, taking one E27 globe, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white. Made in Italy, assembled and powder coated in Australia.

Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.

• ⭐ That is the trade-off for the finish choice. The body is powder-coated in the colour you pick after you order, which is why the range offers five rather than one stocked colour.
• ⚠ Plan the lead time into the job. If it is needed for a handover, a settlement or a booked electrician, tell us the date when you order and we will confirm the production window with Domus.
• ⚠ Order the whole set together. On a property using several of these, a second order placed later starts its own ten days — and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match the first.

✅ It is one head in a modular system — and that is the reason to look at it

The MONACO head is not tied to this post. The same lantern is offered as:

• A wall bracket, on a curved arm.
• A post pendant, hanging rather than sitting.
• A single, twin or triple head on posts of 1.35 m, 1.98 m, 2.35 m or 2.40 m.

✅ That lets one lantern run through a whole property — brackets either side of the front door, a twin head at the gate, singles down the drive — which is what makes an exterior scheme read as designed rather than assembled. Tell us the configuration you want and we will quote it.

2.4 metres — what that height is for

• It lights the space, not just the ground. At this height the pool is wide and soft, and a driveway or forecourt reads as lit rather than dotted.
• It is a landscape object by day as much as a light by night — which is why the finish choice matters more here than on a low bollard.
• ⚠ Wind load and footing both matter at 2.4 m. Talk to your electrician about the base before you set out.
• ⚠ At 650 × 650 mm across the head it is a substantial fitting. Check it against a narrow entry.

Choosing the globe — not supplied

• One E27. Behind a moulded acrylic lens the globe is diffused, so shape does not matter — brightness and colour do.
• Warm 2700–3000 K. Cool white on a driveway reads institutional.
• Around 800–1,200 lm suits a lantern at this height — enough to make the pool useful without turning the lantern into a glare source down the street.
• ⚠ Rated for enclosed fixtures and outdoor use.

✅ Five finishes, including one nothing else offers

• Black — the modern default; the post disappears at night.
• White and beige — traditional and visible by day, which suits a formal approach.
• Green — recedes into planting and hedging.
• ✅ Burgundy — unusual, and against red brick or a heritage house it is a considered choice rather than a default.

✅ Powder coated in Australia, which is worth knowing: the coating is what protects aluminium outdoors, and a locally applied finish is easier to match if a section is ever replaced.
