Dakota Modern LED Cylinder Pendant Light

The Dakota is a slim ø120 mm cylinder pendant with a 450 mm drop, offered in six two-tone combinations pairing aluminium, black or white with marble, oak or brass matt.

Six combinations means you can match the room, not compromise

Aluminium/marble, aluminium/oak, black/brass matt, black/marble, black/oak and white/oak. Real material contrast — oak against a timber kitchen, marble against a stone benchtop — rather than six shades of the same paint. Over an island where the pendants are at eye level, that pairing is the whole decision.

ø120 mm is deliberately narrow

A slim cylinder is meant to be repeated. Two or three in a row over an island read as a considered set; one on its own can look lost over a wide bench. Plan the run before ordering.

It takes a GU10, which is unusually flexible

Most pendants this size have a sealed LED. Dakota takes a GU10 globe, 5 W giving 500 lm at 3000 K over a 120° beam — and because the globe is replaceable you can change the beam angle or the colour temperature later, or simply replace a failed globe instead of the pendant. Globes are not supplied; order them with the pendant.

Not dimmable

Both our sources agree on this, and an earlier version of this page did not. Do not put it on a dimmer.

• Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, in a run of two or three.
• Over a bar or servery.
• Hallways, spaced along the length.
• Bedsides, as a hanging alternative to a table lamp.
