The Misty TL is a 470 mm ceramic table lamp with a stone-patterned body in a chrome cup and a poly-cotton drum shade — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied — on 1.8 metres of flex.
It plugs into a power point. Our page said it “must be installed by a licensed electrician”. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is Class II double insulated — unpack it, fit a globe, plug it in. Removed.
The body is ceramic, finished with a stone pattern, and it sits in a lower chrome cup. Our product record carried no material field whatsoever — not the ceramic, not the fabric shade.
Ceramic does two things that matter on a table lamp. It is heavy and low-centred, so the lamp sits solidly on a bedside table rather than tipping when the flex is pulled — unlike a light metal or raffia base. And it has depth: a stone-patterned glaze reads differently at different angles and under different light, which a painted metal base does not.
It lifts the ceramic off the surface visually and puts a reflective band at the base, so light spilling down from the shade catches it and bounces. That is why the lamp reads as lit from top and bottom rather than just glowing at the shade — a small detail that stops a plain drum shade looking flat.
Taller than most bedside lamps, on a compact 150 mm base. That combination is deliberate: the light source ends up above a seated eye line so the shade throws light onto the page rather than into your face, while the base takes up very little of the table.
The shade is fabric and opaque, so light goes up and down, not sideways, and the globe is completely hidden. That makes the globe choice simple — brightness and warmth only, no look to worry about.
One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. A warm 2700 K globe suits the grey ceramic and the contrast shade. Dimming depends on the globe — our record carries no value at all — and on a plug-in lamp it needs an inline or plug-in dimmer, since there is no wall dimmer in the circuit. Beside a bed that is worth having. Ask us and we will match the pair.
470 mm high by 280 mm wide, base 150 mm, flex 1,800 mm, in ceramic with a poly-cotton shade, silver and grey with a chrome cup. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent and needs an inline or plug-in dimmer. 240 V, plug-in — no electrician required, Class II — double insulated, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is double insulated — unpack it, fit a globe, plug it in. Our page said it must be installed by a licensed electrician, which was wrong.

Yes — at 470 mm it is taller than most bedside lamps, so the source sits above a seated eye line and the shade throws light onto the page rather than into your face. The base is only 150 mm, so it takes little of the table.
