The Miro EX1 is a 110 mm square exterior wall light in black or grey sand — one GU10 globe to 6 W, not supplied — IP65, in polycarbonate.
Black or grey — not white. Our page offered “black, grey, and white”. On this single-light version we stock black and grey. If white is what you want, ask us before ordering rather than choosing a finish that is not there.
IP65 is dust-tight and rated against water jets from any direction — a real exterior rating, not a sheltered one, so it can go on an exposed wall that takes wind-driven rain. Most wall lights in this range sit at IP44 or IP43 and cannot.
The polycarbonate body is the other half of it, and it is not a cost compromise. Near the coast, the thing that kills exterior lights is not water, it is salt corroding metal — aluminium pits, fixings seize, and the fitting fails from the outside in. Polycarbonate does not corrode at all. The claim that the Miro withstands coastal conditions is one of the few in this catalogue that the construction actually supports.
It is small — a 110 mm square face standing 85 mm off the wall at 0.25 kg. That makes it a marker and a wash: a light on a path, at a gate, beside a door or repeated along a fence line, and light enough that fixing it into rendered brick or fibre cement is straightforward.
Most exterior fittings in this range have a sealed integrated LED: when the diode fails, the fitting is finished. The Miro takes a standard GU10, so you pick the output and colour and you can replace it in ten years.
Buy a GU10 rated for enclosed fittings. An IP65 body is sealed, and heat with nowhere to go is what kills LED globes. Many GU10 LEDs are rated for open fittings only and it is printed on the box. Ask us and we will match one — and tell us the colour temperature you want, because with a replaceable globe that is entirely your choice.
On dimming. Our record says not dimmable. In practice a fitting that only holds a GU10 will dim if the globe and the dimmer both do — the fitting itself has nothing in it to prevent it. If dimming matters outside, tell us and we will confirm the combination rather than leaving you to find out.
No earth required, which simplifies the wiring, though it is still hard-wired and a licensed electrician installs it. There is also an up-down version of the Miro if you want light thrown both ways from the same body.
110 mm wide by 110 mm high, projection 85 mm, 0.25 kg, in polycarbonate, sand finish. One GU10 globe to 6 W, NOT supplied and replaceable. 240 V, Class II — double insulated, no earth required, IP65 — dust-tight and jet-rated; suitable for exposed positions. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Not this single-light version — we stock black and grey. Our page offered “black, grey, and white”. Ask us before ordering if white is what you want.

No — one GU10 to 6 W, your choice, and replaceable. That is an advantage: most exterior fittings in this range have a sealed integrated LED, and when the diode fails the fitting is finished.

Our record says no, but a fitting that only holds a GU10 has nothing in it to prevent dimming — it comes down to the globe and the dimmer. Tell us if dimming matters outside and we will confirm the combination.
A 110 mm square face standing 85 mm off the wall, at 250 grams — small enough to fix into rendered brick or fibre cement without special provision.
