MIRO 2 EXTERIOR WALL LIGHT

The Miro EX2 is an up-and-down exterior wall light — two GU10 lamps, IP65, in polycarbonate — in black, grey or white.

Up and down, which is the whole point

Two lamps firing in opposite directions put one column of light on the wall above and one below. That is the architectural exterior look — it grazes render, brick or timber and shows its texture, instead of flooding the garden. On a rendered facade at night it is the difference between a wall and a feature.

Polycarbonate, and that is deliberate

0.25 kg and nothing to corrode. Its own copy claims coastal suitability and the material backs it: no rust bleeding down the render, no fixings weeping after two summers. On a salt-air site, polycarbonate beats any painted metal.

IP65 — no shelter needed

Dust tight and protected against water jets from any direction. An exposed wall, a fence, a facade in open weather — all fine, unlike most of the wall lights in this range.

Double insulated

Class II — no earth required, which is unusual outdoors and means fewer connections to make and fewer to corrode.

The lamps are not included — and that is a feature

GU10, up to 6 W each, supplied separately. That means you choose the colour temperature and the beam angle, and you can change your mind later — a narrow beam for a tight architectural column, a wider one for a softer wash. A fitting with a sealed LED gives you no such choice.

Specifying it

110 mm wide, 195 mm high, in polycarbonate with a sand finish. Two GU10 lamps at 6 W each — 12 W total, not supplied. Not dimmable. 240 V, Class II — double insulated, no earth required, IP65 — dust tight and water-jet protected. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty. A single-light Miro is also made.
