The Minra TL is a 395 mm table lamp with a cast stone base and a soft fabric shade in warm beige — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied.

Cast stone, which the record had dropped

Our listing said “Fabric” and nothing more. The base is cast stone — a heavy, faintly granular material that reads as quarried rather than moulded, and the reason the lamp looks calm rather than cheap. It is the same loss we found on the Celsus, on the same material, which suggests cast stone is being dropped systematically rather than by accident.

Narrow, and that is what distinguishes it

395 mm tall and only 150 mm wide on a 115 mm base, at 1.8 kg. Worth comparing to the Celsus TLS, which is the same height in the same materials but 250 mm wide on a 130 mm base at 3.3 kg. So:

  • Minra — the slim one. For a narrow bedside table or a shallow shelf where a wide shade would overhang.
  • Celsus — the broad one. More light spread, and nearly twice the weight.

You almost certainly do not need an electrician. It is Class II — double insulated — on an 1,800 mm cable. The old page carried an electrician requirement that belongs to hard-wired fittings.

Beige on beige

Warm beige through the stone and the shade both — there is no contrast in this lamp, and that is the design. It disappears into a neutral room and does its work as light rather than as an object. If you want a lamp to look at, this is not it; if you want one that stops competing with everything else on the table, it is.

Dimming depends on the globe

Fit a dimmable E27 and use a plug-in or inline dimmer and it dims; a plain globe will not. Our record says “No”, which is misleading — the correct answer is globe dependent.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
