Product Description
xThe Matias is a ø400 mm table lamp — a metal outer ring cradling a mouth-blown glass sphere, balanced on a machined metal cylinder — in black with antique gold and opal matt glass.
A ring, a sphere and a cylinder
Three primary forms and nothing else. The ring holds the glass without enclosing it; the cylinder balances the composition beneath. It is a deliberately geometric lamp, and the reason it sits in a modern room without competing with anything.
Nothing on it moves
Worth being plain about, because an earlier version of this page said otherwise: there are no adjustable hinges and no adjustable head. The Matias is a fixed composition. If you want an adjustable lamp, the Jeremy or Kylan will serve you.
Opal matt glows in every direction
The ø150 mm sphere diffuses fully, so the lamp gives ambient light to the room rather than a directed pool. It is atmosphere rather than task light.
Machined, not cast
The metal cylinder is machined — turned to a precise finish rather than cast and coated. At close range on a side table that difference in surface is visible.
E27 to 25 W, not supplied
Behind opal matt glass a plain warm globe is all you need. There is an inline switch on the 1,800 mm cable.

Questions
Does the head adjust?
No. An earlier version of this page mentioned adjustable hinges and an adjustable head — the Matias is a fixed composition. For an adjustable lamp, look at the Jeremy or Kylan.
Is it a reading lamp?
No. The opal matt sphere diffuses in every direction, so it gives ambient light rather than a directed pool.
What does "machined" mean here?
The metal cylinder is turned to a precise finish rather than cast and coated — visible at close range on a side table.
Which globe should I fit?
A plain warm one. A decorative filament would be hidden behind opal matt glass.
Is a globe included?
No. One E27 globe up to 25 W, supplied separately.
Where is the switch?
Inline on the 1,800 mm cable.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
