The Marvin PE1S is a 120 mm single pendant in black with gold — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, with a 498 mm drop.
⚠ This product shares its name exactly with another one. There are three Marvin single pendants, all black and gold, all one-light E27 — and two carry an identical title. The only thing that separates them is proportion:
| Order code | Width | Height | It reads as |
|---|---|---|---|
| PE1S (this one) | 120 mm | 498 mm | The narrowest and the deepest |
| PE1O | 165 mm | 455 mm | Tall and slim |
| PE1R | 195 mm | 370 mm | The broadest and shortest |
Check the order code, not the title — and ask us for photographs of all three before you choose.
120 mm wide over a 498 mm drop is a proportion of roughly one to four: this is an elongated tube rather than a shade. Our page never said so, and it is the whole character of the fitting.
That proportion is specialised, and very good at what it does:
⚠ The depth is the thing to plan around. At 498 mm it hangs half a metre below the canopy, plus whatever suspension you leave. Over a dining table it will be squarely in the sightline unless hung high — and over a bench, where people stand, that same depth is exactly right.
Our page carried a general essay about industrial lighting — the Industrial Revolution, wire cages, concrete, reclaimed wood — and never mentioned this product. So: it is a slim black tube pendant with gold, almost certainly a gold interior, on a 2,000 mm suspension.
If it is a gold interior, it does something specific on a narrow fitting. A tube this slim directs light — the shape itself makes a tight beam. A gold lining then reflects and warms that beam on its way out, so instead of a hard white shaft you get a warm, defined pool, and the inside of the tube glows when you stand near it.
On a black interior the same shape would give a hard-edged, cool pool with no glow at all. ⚠ We have asked Telbix to confirm, because no source states it and it changes the fitting's character entirely.
One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. ⚠ No source says whether the globe is visible from below, and on a deep narrow tube it very likely is recessed — which would mean any warm globe will do and it can hang low without glare. We have asked, and we will tell you before you buy a globe.
Use warm 2700 K either way: against gold, cool white reads green and undoes the warmth the interior is there to give.
Dimming depends on the globe. The datasheet says globe dependent; our record carried no dimming value at all. Over a bench, dimming is what makes a row of pendants usable in the evening — buy the globes together and let us match them to your dimmer.
⚠ No weight is recorded, and the material is given only as “Metal”. On a fitting this size neither is likely to affect the fixing — ask us if it is in question. Class I — earth required, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.
120 mm wide by 498 mm high, suspension 2,000 mm, weight not recorded — ask us, in metal, black with gold. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No — two of the three Marvin single pendants carry an identical title, and only the order code and dimensions separate them. This is the PE1S: 120 mm wide and 498 deep, the narrowest and the deepest of the three. Check the order code, not the title, and ask us for photographs before you choose.
Rows over a kitchen bench, above all. At 120 mm you can hang three or five close together without crowding, and the narrow bodies leave sightlines completely clear across an open-plan room — which a 200 mm pendant does not. Also over a narrow bar or island where a broad pendant overhangs the bench edge, beside a bed hung low, or in a tight stairwell where the depth reads as a vertical line.
Only if you hang it high. At 498 mm it drops half a metre below the canopy plus whatever suspension you leave, so it will sit squarely in the sightline across a table. Over a bench, where people stand, that same depth is exactly right.
If it is a gold interior — which we have asked Telbix to confirm — it matters more on a narrow fitting than a broad one. A tube this slim directs light by its shape alone; a gold lining then reflects and warms that beam on its way out, so instead of a hard white shaft you get a warm, defined pool, and the inside glows when you stand near it. A black interior would give a hard-edged, cool pool with no glow.
No source says, but on a deep narrow tube it is very likely recessed — which would mean any warm globe will do and it can hang low without glare. We have asked, and we will tell you before you buy one.

With the right globe. The datasheet says globe dependent; our record carried no value at all. Over a bench, dimming is what makes a row of pendants usable in the evening — buy the globes together and let us match them to your dimmer.
