The Marvin PE1R is a 195 mm single pendant in black with gold — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, with a 370 mm drop.
⚠ This product shares its name exactly with another one. Two of the three Marvin single pendants carry an identical title. Only proportion separates them:
| Order code | Width | Height | It reads as |
|---|---|---|---|
| PE1R (this one) | 195 mm | 370 mm | The broadest and shortest |
| PE1O | 165 mm | 455 mm | Tall and slim |
| PE1S | 120 mm | 498 mm | The narrowest and deepest |
Check the order code, not the title, and ask us for photographs.
195 mm wide over a 370 mm drop is a proportion of roughly one to two, where the PE1S is one to four. That makes the PE1R the most conventionally pendant-shaped of the three, and it changes what it suits:
Our page carried a general essay about industrial lighting — the Industrial Revolution, wire cages, concrete, reclaimed wood — and never mentioned this product. It is a black pendant with gold, almost certainly a gold interior, on a 2,000 mm suspension.
On the broadest of the three, a gold interior does the most work. A wider shade has more reflective surface, so if the lining is gold:
⚠ We have asked Telbix to confirm the interior finish, because no source states it. Ask us and we will have the answer.
One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. ⚠ On a broad, shallow shade the globe is more likely to be visible from a seated position than on the deep narrow versions — which would mean buying a decorative LED filament and hanging it above eye level.
Ask us before you buy a globe — no source states whether the shade is open at the bottom, and on this one of the three it matters most.
Use warm 2700 K either way: against gold, cool white reads green and undoes the warmth the interior is there to give.
Dimming depends on the globe. The datasheet says globe dependent; our record carried no value at all. If the globe is visible, dimming matters more — a filament at full is bright to look at, and at 30 to 40 per cent it becomes the warm element the fitting is built around.
⚠ No weight is recorded, and the material is given only as “Metal”. Ask us if the fixing is in question. Class I — earth required, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.
195 mm wide by 370 mm high, suspension 2,000 mm, weight not recorded — ask us, in metal, black with gold. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No — two of the three Marvin single pendants carry an identical title, and only the order code and dimensions separate them. This is the PE1R: 195 mm wide and 370 high, the broadest and shortest of the three. Check the order code, not the title.
This one. At 370 mm it hangs 128 mm less than the PE1S — which on a 2.4-metre ceiling is the difference between a fitting you walk under comfortably and one you are aware of. It is also the only one of the three shallow enough to sit above the sightline over a dining table at a normal height.
On the broadest of the three it does the most work, if the lining is gold: more reflective surface means the pool below is warmer and softer-edged than the globe alone would give, and the inside of the shade glows visibly from a seated position — which there is enough of on a 195 mm shade and not on a 120 mm tube. We have asked Telbix to confirm the interior finish.
More likely than on the deep narrow versions, because the shade is broad and shallow — which would mean buying a decorative LED filament and hanging it above eye level. No source states whether the shade is open at the bottom, and on this one of the three it matters most. Ask us before you buy one.
A warm 2700 K E27. Against gold, cool white reads green and undoes the warmth the interior is there to give.
With the right globe. The datasheet says globe dependent; our record carried no value at all. If the globe is visible, dimming matters more — a filament at full is bright to look at, and at 30 to 40 per cent it becomes the warm element the fitting is built around.
Yes, but space them more generously than the narrow versions — at 195 mm they want more room between them than a 120 mm tube does.
