xThe Malvern FL3 is a 1,560 mm three-light floor lamp in antique silver, in iron, crystal and fabric — three E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, at 6 kg.
Three lights on a floor lamp is unusual, and it is the reason to buy this one. Almost every floor lamp in this catalogue takes one globe.
- Three times the output — genuinely enough to read by, and to light a corner of a room, where a single 25 W-max lamp lights the chair beside it and little else.
- Even light across a wide shade. At 340 mm across, one central globe would light the middle brightly and the edges dimly; three spread it evenly, which is what stops a large shade looking patchy.
- Redundancy. When one globe goes, the lamp still works — and on a lamp with three, you notice far less.

A floor lamp's stability is its weight, and the Malvern is well provided for: at 6 kg it sits alongside the travertine Vybor at 6.8 kg and the Lasian at 6.1, and well above the light lamps in this catalogue that come with a caution about being knocked over.
At 1,560 mm tall, the bottom of the shade clears a seated head, so light comes down over the shoulder onto the page rather than into the face — which is the correct geometry for a reading lamp and the reason to put one beside a chair at all.
Crystal and fabric — and why the pairing works standing up
Crystal on a pendant works by throwing refracted light down and around a room. On a floor lamp, standing at head height beside a chair, undiffused crystal would be uncomfortable to sit next to.
The Malvern's fabric shade solves it: it hides the three globes and throws light up and down, while the crystal dressing on the frame catches that light at column height and sparkles quietly beside you. You get the decorative quality of crystal without the glare — which is the right arrangement for a lamp you sit beside for an evening.
Antique silver is the softening choice. Against polished chrome, crystal reads bright and glamorous; against antique silver it reads traditional and quiet, and it sits with grey, taupe and muted palettes rather than fighting them.
It plugs in — and one figure is missing
Class II — double insulated, no earth required, so this is a portable lamp. Fit three globes and plug it in; no electrician is involved.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
