The Lyric OY50 is a 500 mm square oyster with a teak wood finish — 36 W giving 2,790 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K and three-step dimming from the wall switch you already have.
It gives 2,790 lumens, and our page never said so. The specification table listed voltage, wattage, colour temperatures, dimming and IP rating — and no lumens row. Neither does our product record. On a ceiling light that is the number you compare fittings on.
This is the size to buy, and the figures say so.
The Lyric gets steadily more efficient as it gets bigger — three times the power of the smallest for four and a half times the light. That is worth stating plainly, because most size ranges in this catalogue do the opposite: the Tifton doubles its wattage for 19% more light, and the Patino gives identical output at every size.
If you need output, the 500 mm is not just the brightest Lyric — it is the cheapest to run per lumen.
No dimmer, no new wiring. Flick the switch off and straight back on and the light steps down: 100%, 50%, 20%, then back to full.
At 2,790 lm that matters more than it does on the small sizes. This is a bright fitting — enough to light a living room or a large bedroom on its own — and the 20% step is what makes it usable in the evening. Getting that from the existing switch, on existing wiring, is unusual.
Almost every oyster in this catalogue is a circle, and the wood-rimmed Orlin is round too. At 500 mm a square timber frame is a substantial architectural gesture: it aligns with the room, following a ceiling, a bulkhead or a run of joinery, while the teak keeps it warm rather than technical.
That combination is what the copy means by Japandi and Scandinavian — both built on warm timber in rectilinear geometry. A 500 mm white disc fits neither.
3000 K, 4000 K, 6000 K, on a slide switch at installation. The top end is worth noting: most switchable fittings here stop at 4000 K, and 6000 K is true daylight. With the step dimming, one fitting covers a bright daylight working setting and a 20% warm evening one.
2.7 kilograms, projecting 60 mm, in wood, polycarbonate and metal. It is Class I — earth required and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom — unlike the square Lunos, which is IP44 and 25 mm deep if you need one that can. CRI above 80.
500 by 500 mm, projection 60 mm, 2.7 kg, in wood, polycarbonate and metal, teak wood tones. Integrated 36 W LED giving 2,790 lm, included, with slide-switch 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K, CRI >80, and three-step dimming from an ordinary wall switch — 100% / 50% / 20%, no dimmer required. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

2,790 lm — enough to light a living room or large bedroom on its own. Our page never said so: the specification table has no lumens row and our record carries none either.
This one. The three give 52, 66 and 77.5 lm/W — the Lyric gets steadily more efficient as it gets bigger, three times the power of the smallest for four and a half times the light. That is unusual: most size ranges in this catalogue do the opposite.
No. Flick your ordinary wall switch off and straight back on and it steps down: 100%, 50%, 20%, then back to full. At 2,790 lm that matters — the 20% step is what makes a fitting this bright usable in the evening, and you get it from the existing switch on existing wiring.

No — IP20, indoor and dry locations only. The square Lunos oysters are IP44 and 25 mm deep if you need one that can.
Set it out square to the walls. At 500 mm any misalignment shows in a way it would not on a round fitting.
