The Lyric OY40 is a 400 mm square oyster with a teak wood finish — 24 W giving 1,575 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K and three-step dimming from the wall switch you already have.
It gives 1,575 lumens, and our page never said so. The specification table listed the voltage, wattage, colour temperatures, dimming and IP rating — and no lumens row at all. Our product record carries none either. On a ceiling light that is the number a customer compares fittings on.
It dims from an ordinary wall switch. No dimmer, no new wiring. Flick the switch off and straight back on and the light steps down: 100%, then 50%, then 20%, then back to full.
For a retrofit that means dimming without touching the switch plate, the wiring or the wall — and it is the same mechanism as the round Orlin oysters, which share this range's wood-rim idea.
Almost every oyster in this catalogue is a circle, and the ones with a wood rim — the Orlin — are round too. The Lyric is square with a teak finish, and the two together do something specific: a square timber frame aligns with the room, following the lines of a ceiling, a bulkhead or joinery, while the wood keeps it warm rather than technical.
That is why the copy reaches for Japandi and Scandinavian — both are styles built on warm timber in rectilinear geometry, and a round white oyster fits neither.
24 W at 66 lm/W. That is modest, and the reason is the same as the Orlin's: the timber frame and the diffuser absorb output that a plain white oyster would not. The Eltz, a bare square-edged fitting, gives 118 lm/W.
Size it on the 1,575 lm, not on the 24 watts. It will light a bedroom, a hallway, a study or a small living room properly; a large open-plan space needs more.
3000 K, 4000 K, 6000 K, on a slide switch at installation. Note the top end: most switchable fittings in this catalogue stop at 4000 K, and 6000 K is true daylight — useful in a study or a robe, harsh in a bedroom. With the step dimming, one fitting covers a bright daylight working setting and a 20% warm evening one.
1.9 kilograms, projecting 60 mm, in wood, polycarbonate and metal. It is Class I — earth required and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom — unlike the square Lunos, which is IP44. CRI above 80.
Lyric comes in three sizes; the 300 mm gives 620 lm from 12 W. Both are 60 mm deep in the same teak finish, and both step-dim from the wall switch.
400 by 400 mm, projection 60 mm, 1.9 kg, in wood, polycarbonate and metal, teak wood tones. Integrated 24 W LED giving 1,575 lm, included, with slide-switch 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K, CRI >80, and three-step dimming from an ordinary wall switch — 100% / 50% / 20%, no dimmer required. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

Because a square timber frame aligns with the room — following the lines of a ceiling, bulkhead or joinery — while the wood keeps it warm rather than technical. Almost every oyster here is round, and the wood-rimmed Orlin is round too. That combination is why the copy reaches for Japandi and Scandinavian, both built on warm timber in rectilinear geometry.

No — IP20, indoor and dry locations only. The square Lunos oysters are IP44 if you need one that can.
The 300 mm gives 620 lm from 12 W; this 400 mm gives 1,575 lm from 24 W — more than twice the light for twice the power. Both are 60 mm deep and both step-dim from the wall switch.
