Luxia 55Cm Pendant Light Round

The Luxia C55R is a 550 mm crystal pendant with full RGB colour in chrome — 44 W giving 1,800 lm at 4000 K, plus RGB colour and dimming by RF remote.

550 mm across, projecting 220 mm — and the canopy is also 550 mm, the full width of the fitting. That is unusual and worth understanding: the Luxia does not hang on a drop. It sits close under the ceiling on a full-width plate, so the crystal is read from below and it throws refracted light and pattern out across the ceiling and walls.

On a standard 2.4-metre ceiling, where a hanging crystal chandelier would be an obstruction, that is how you get the effect without losing the headroom.

1,800 lumens — and it is a feature light, not a room light

44 W at 41 lm/W, which is modest, and there are two honest reasons: crystal facets scatter light rather than transmitting it, and RGB diodes are less efficient than white ones. You are buying sparkle and colour, not output.

1,800 lm will light a dining table or a small living room and will not carry a large open-plan space. If you need a crystal fitting that lights a room properly, the Landis gives 4,830 lm at the same 600 mm scale — but it is white only, with no colour. That is the trade between the two.

4000 K white — note there is no warm setting

The white light is neutral 4000 K, fixed. There is no 3000 K or 2700 K option, so it does not go warm on white. If you want a warm dining-table glow you get it through the RGB, by dialling a warm tone on the remote — which works, but is a different thing from a warm white LED.

The largest of three

Luxia also comes at 380 mm (24 W, 1,040 lm, 2.6 kg) and 450 mm (36 W, 1,480 lm, 3.7 kg), and as a flush mount. All three run at 41–43 lm/W, so the figures confirm each other and the choice is purely scale.

Where it works

• Dining rooms and entries — white for dinner, colour for occasions.
• Standard-height ceilings, where a chandelier would be an obstruction.
• Rooms where the ceiling and walls should carry the sparkle.
• ⚠ Confirm the remote is included before ordering.
• ⚠ White is 4000 K only — there is no warm white setting.
