Product Description
xThe Lunos OY30 is a 300 mm square LED oyster only 25 mm deep, in black or white — 24 W giving 2,150 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, TRIAC dimmable, IP44.
This is the most efficient of the three Lunos sizes. 90 lumens per watt, against 86 for the 230 mm and 83 for the 400 mm. And at 2,150 lm it is already enough to light a bedroom, a laundry or a kitchen — only 13% less than the 400 mm for 20% less power.
If the room does not need a 400 mm fitting on the ceiling, this is the better buy.
IP44 — it goes where an ordinary oyster cannot. Our page said “Usage: Indoor” while our own record says Outdoor and Garden. The rating settles it: IP44 is protected against splashing water from any direction, so it suits a bathroom outside the shower zone, a laundry, or a covered porch, carport or alfresco ceiling — positions the IP20 oysters here are ruled out of. Not a fully exposed soffit.
25 mm deep, and square
Twelve to one, and as slim as any ceiling fitting in this catalogue — the Legero is 29 mm, the Eltz 80. It reads as a panel set into the ceiling rather than a fitting hung below it, which matters under a bulkhead or on a 2.4-metre ceiling.
And it is square, where almost every oyster here is round. At 300 mm that aligns with the room — following the lines of a hallway, a laundry or a run of joinery, which a disc does not.
Three colour settings, and it dims
3000 K warm, 4000 K neutral, 5000 K cool, chosen at installation — plus TRIAC dimming on an ordinary wall dimmer. In a laundry or bathroom the 5000 K setting is the useful one; in a bedroom, 3000 K dimmed low.
Class II — double insulated, no earth required, which is unusual for a ceiling fitting and simplifies the wiring. At 0.88 kg with a 600 mm cable it goes onto any standard fixing. CRI above 80.
Where it works
- Bedrooms, laundries and kitchens — enough light, less power.
- Bathrooms outside the shower zone, and covered outdoor areas — IP44.
- Hallways and galley kitchens, where a square aligns with the room.
- ⚠ Not a fully exposed soffit taking driving rain.

Which Lunos size is the best value?
This one. At 90 lm/W it is the most efficient of the three — against 86 for the 230 mm and 83 for the 400 mm — and at 2,150 lm it gives only 13% less light than the 400 mm for 20% less power.
Can it go in a bathroom or outside?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
