The Lucent OY60 is a 600 mm crystal LED oyster in gloss gold — 128 W giving 14,080 lm, with switchable 3300 K / 4200 K / 6500 K.

⚠ Read this before you buy it. 14,080 lumens, and it does not dim.

That is by a large margin the brightest fitting in this catalogue. For scale:

  • LANDIS CTC60, also a 600 mm crystal fitting — 4,830 lm, and it dims.
  • LEGERO OY50, a bright modern oyster — 4,200 lm.
  • A typical 400 mm oyster — around 2,000 lm.

The Lucent is roughly three times the brightest of those, with no way to turn it down. In a living room or a bedroom that will be overwhelming — genuinely uncomfortable at night.

Where it is right: a large open-plan space, a high-ceilinged entry, a stairwell or a formal room that needs a great deal of light from one point, and where the light is either on for entertaining or off. If you want this look in a normal room, ask us about the Landis — same 600 mm crystal scale, a third of the output, and it dims.

110 lumens per watt — and both figures agree

128 W for 14,080 lm. Those two numbers are internally consistent at 110 lm/W, which is achievable for a dense LED array behind a diffuser, so both are published as recorded rather than treated as an error. It also means the Lucent is efficient — it is not wasting the power, it is genuinely producing that much light.

The Lucent is a ceiling fitting dressed in crystal rather than a chandelier: it sits 90 mm off the ceiling on a 560 mm canopy, so you get crystal detail and refraction without a pendant drop. The gloss gold is warm and reflective, which tints the refracted light and makes the whole fitting read richer and more traditional than a chrome equivalent would.

Three colour steps — and they are not the usual values

3300 K, 4200 K and 6500 K, set at installation. Most switchable fittings in this catalogue use 3000/4000/5000; the Lucent runs slightly warmer at the bottom, slightly cooler in the middle, and much cooler at the top.

6500 K is true daylight — and at 14,080 lm that setting is very bright and very cold. It has a use in a large commercial or utility space; in a home, 3300 K is almost certainly the setting you want.

7 kilograms on a 560 mm canopy. Heavy, but spread across a wide plate rather than a single point. Still tell your electrician the figure before the ceiling is opened. It is Class I — earth required, CRI above 80, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.

Is 14,080 lumens really right?

The 128 W and 14,080 lm are internally consistent at 110 lm/W, which is achievable for a dense LED array behind a diffuser — so both are published as recorded. It is by a large margin the brightest fitting in this catalogue: the 600 mm Landis crystal gives 4,830 lm and a typical 400 mm oyster around 2,000.

Can I dim it?

No — and that is the most important thing to know about it. 14,080 lm with no way to turn it down will be overwhelming in a living room or bedroom, genuinely uncomfortable at night.

Where should it go, then?

A large open-plan space, a high-ceilinged entry, a stairwell or a formal room that needs a great deal of light from one point, and where the light is either on for entertaining or off.

I want this look in a normal room — what should I buy?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
