The Luc is a ø85 mm inground uplight — a 3 W single or a 2 × 3 W twin, 200 or 400 lm, at 3000 K on a 70° beam.
It is IP65, not IP67. An earlier version of this page said IP67 and called it “waterproof”. Both our sources say IP65: protected against water jets, not against sitting in standing water. On an inground fitting that distinction is the whole ballgame — it must go somewhere that drains. Talk to us before putting it in a low point, a lawn that pools, or anywhere a puddle forms.
Every other figure here is ordinary; this one decides whether the light survives its first wet winter. Set it in free-draining ground or a gravel bed, proud of the low point, and it will do its job for years. Set it at the bottom of a slope and IP65 will not save it.
Wide enough to graze a wall or a tree trunk and show its texture, narrow enough not to spill across the whole garden. That is the useful middle for architectural uplighting; a tight spot would draw a hard circle, and a 120° flood would just be glare underfoot.
1 × 3 W at 200 lm, or 2 × 3 W at 400 lm. Exactly twice the light. Use the single along a path where you want rhythm rather than brightness, and the twin where you are actually lighting something — a rendered wall, a feature tree, a facade.
Foliage, brickwork and render all look dead under poor-colour LED. CRI >84 at 3000 K keeps greens green and warm masonry warm.
ø85 mm, 42 mm high. Built-in LED SMD giving 200 lm (1 × 3 W) or 400 lm (2 × 3 W) at 3000 K, CRI >84, beam 70°. Not dimmable. IP65 — water jets, NOT immersion. Warranty is two years, not the three most of the range carries.
⚠ We are not publishing a cable length — the sheet labels its dimensions in centimetres while the values are plainly millimetres. Ask us and we will confirm. Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No, and an earlier version of this page said it was. It is IP65 — protected against water jets, not against standing water. Both our sources agree on IP65; the IP67 claim was wrong.
Free-draining ground or a gravel bed, proud of the low point. Not at the bottom of a slope, not in a lawn that pools. Drainage is the specification that decides whether it survives.
The single gives 200 lm, the twin 400 lm — exactly twice. Use the single for rhythm along a path, the twin where you are actually lighting a wall or a tree.
70° — a wash, not a spot. Wide enough to graze a wall and show texture, narrow enough not to spill across the garden.
No.
Two years — not the three most of the Telbix range carries.
We are not publishing one. The sheet labels its dimensions in centimetres while the values are plainly millimetres, so ask us and we will confirm.
