Legero 50Cm 60W LED Oyster Smart Ceiling Light

The Legero OY50 is a 500 mm WiFi-controlled LED oyster only 29 mm deep — 60 W giving 4,200 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 6500 K and CRI above 85.

29 millimetres deep — and slim enough to change how a room feels

500 mm across and 29 mm off the ceiling. For comparison the Elie is 45 mm and the Eltz 80 mm; most oysters are 80 to 120. At seventeen to one the Legero reads as a disc of light set into the ceiling rather than a fitting hung below it.

In a room with a standard 2.4-metre ceiling, or under a bulkhead, or anywhere the ceiling already feels low, that 50 mm difference against a conventional oyster is genuinely visible.

4,200 lumens — and 6500 K at the top

60 W at 70 lm/W. This will light a large living room, an open-plan kitchen or a big bedroom on its own — it is one of the brightest ceiling fittings in this range.

The three settings cover an unusually wide span:

• 3000 K — warm, for evenings and living rooms.
• 4000 K — neutral, for general use.
• 6500 K — the coolest setting in this catalogue. Crisp daylight, genuinely blue-white. Excellent in a kitchen or a home office; harsh in a bedroom.

Because the dimming is on your phone, you can actually use that range — cool and bright while cooking, warm and low afterwards, without getting up.

CRI above 85, and a 180-degree beam

CRI 85 is above the 80 most ceiling fittings here record — not the 92 of the high-CRI group, but enough that food and timber do not go flat. The 180° beam means it throws light across the whole ceiling plane, edge to edge, which is what stops a large room having dark corners.
