LED Brick Light with Grill 10w Black/316 SS/White Havit Lighting - HV3004T

A brick light sits at shin or knee height, which puts its LED panel almost exactly where a walking eye falls. The HV3004T answers that with a grill face: horizontal blades across the aperture that let the light out downward and across while shielding the source from anyone looking straight at the wall. It is the same 10 W Bata body as the plain-faced HV3003T, at the same price and the same output — you are choosing glare control, not brightness.

Where a grill earns its keep

Along a driveway edge, either face works. On a narrow path, beside a seating area, or anywhere the fitting will be viewed head-on from a few metres, the grill is the one to take: it turns a bright rectangle into a soft band, and it stops the fitting reading as a hot spot in an evening photograph. The trade is a modest loss of upward spill, which on a wall-recessed light is rarely wanted anyway.

Order the right supply — dimming only exists at 240 V

Both supply options sit on this one listing and they do not behave the same. Havit specifies the Bata 10 W as Triac dimmable on the 240 V model only; the 12 V DC codes cannot be dimmed. That single line decides which code to order whenever a dimmer is in the design. The 12 V codes need a suitable 12 V DC LED driver sized for the run, and the installation sheet is explicit that a 12 V fitting must never be wired directly to mains.

Build and finishes

The grill and face are 316 stainless steel over an aluminium body, with tempered glass behind. Three finishes are stocked: bare stainless, or poly powder coated in black or white. Havit's instruction sheet carries two limits worth knowing — a 2 km setback from salt water for aluminium and 304 stainless components, and this body is aluminium; and a standing requirement that all 316 stainless fittings be cleaned regularly, since tea staining is excluded from the warranty. A grill has more edges to catch salt than a plain face, so on a coastal job budget the rinse into the maintenance routine.

Installation

This is a canister installation — the canister goes into the wall with its top level with the finished face, and the body seats just behind that edge. Havit publishes no cut-out dimension for the 10 W Bata, so work to the canister you have been supplied and test-fit a single aperture before cutting a run. Wiring is parallel. On 12 V, the fitting cannot be more than 25 m from its driver and supply must stay within ±5% of rated voltage, or the warranty is void.

Specifying it

The 10 W LED is built in — no globe, no socket, nothing to buy separately — and the panel is replaceable, so a failure years out is a service call rather than a demolition job. Colour temperature is set at install from a dip switch on the panel across 3000 K, 4000 K and 5500 K, giving 800, 850 and 900 lumens; it ships preset warm. IP54, CRI above 80, three-year replacement warranty.

Every finish is held by Lights For You in both 240 V and 12 V. If the wall already carries Bata fittings, confirm whether they are grilled before you order — the HV3003T is the plain-faced equivalent and the two do not look alike once lit.
