KYLAN FLOOR LAMP

The Kylan FL is a 1,500 mm floor lamp with a 180-degree shade tilt — in matte black or antique gold.

A full 180 degrees, which is more than most

This is the specification that separates it. Plenty of lamps have “adjustable” heads that manage thirty or forty degrees. The Kylan swings through a complete half-circle — from pointing straight down at a book, through horizontal at a wall or a workspace, to straight up at the ceiling. That means one lamp genuinely covers reading, working and ambient, which is what the range claims and, unusually, what it delivers.

Aim it up to make a room feel bigger

Worth knowing because few people try it: pointed at the ceiling, a floor lamp bounces light across the whole room and lifts a low or dark space in a way no downward lamp can. With 180 degrees of travel you can do that in the evening and swing it back down to read by. Most lamps make you choose once.

Matte black or antique gold

Antique gold is the warm, traditional choice and catches light along the stem; matte black is graphic and disappears against a dark wall. Both understated enough that the lamp reads as furniture rather than equipment.

Substantial — 4.28 kg

A lamp whose head swings through 180 degrees needs weight at the base, and this has it. It will not creep or tip when you move the shade.

Plug in and use it

Class II, double insulated, no earth required, on a 2,000 mm cable with a plug. Its own datasheet says installation required: no.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

An ordinary replaceable globe. Dimming is globe dependent — fit a dimmable globe and use a plug-in or inline dimmer.

Kylan runs as table and floor lamps, with the table lamp made in two sizes — all with the same 180-degree tilt and both finishes.
