Kestra 43Cm Pendant Light

The Kestra PE40 is a 430 mm textured iron cone pendant in black or white — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on a 2,000 mm suspension.

The single-pendant size

430 mm wide by 300 mm high is the point at which a cone pendant holds a dining table on its own. The 320 mm PE30 does not — it is made to hang in a run of two or three. If you have one ceiling point and one table, this is the one.

Textured iron, and it works twice over

The surface is finely textured rather than smooth. On the black that keeps it matte instead of glossy and hides fingerprints; on the white it gives the shade a visible grain, so a large pale cone reads as a made object rather than a blank shape. On a 430 mm shade that difference is easy to see.

Black or white change the room, not just the lamp

Black reads as a solid mass and anchors a table — strong against a pale ceiling. White disappears into a white ceiling and lets the light do the work. On a shade this size that is a bigger decision than it sounds.

A cone puts light down

300 mm deep over a 430 mm mouth directs light onto the table and shields the globe from side view — so no one across the table looks into it. Almost nothing reaches the ceiling, which is why a dining pendant usually wants some other light in the room.

Where it works

• Over a dining table, as the single pendant.
• Entries and stairwells, where a 430 mm shade has air around it.
• Over a round table, where the cone matches the shape.
• ⚠ Not as a room’s only light — a cone sends almost nothing upward.

430 mm wide by 300 mm high, canopy 120 mm with a 25 mm projection, suspension 2,000 mm and adjustable, in textured iron. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
