Jura 40Cm CTC Ceiling Light

The Jura CTC40 is a ø400 mm close-to-ceiling crystal light in chrome or gold — 40 W giving 4,000 lm, with switchable 3300 K / 4200 K / 6500 K, in an 80 mm profile.

4,000 lumens in an 80 mm profile — that is the achievement

100 lm/W, which is genuinely efficient, and it is delivered from a fitting only 80 mm deep. That combination is rare on a crystal fitting: crystal usually trades output for sparkle, and the tiered Zafra and Brera pendants in this catalogue give a third as much light for twice the wattage. The Jura CTC does both jobs at once — it sparkles and it actually lights the room.

Close to ceiling, which makes it the practical Jura

The Jura pendants hang on a 2,500 mm suspension and want a void. This one sits 80 mm off the ceiling, so it works at 2,400 mm in a bedroom, hallway or living room — with the same crystal, the same finishes and the same colour switching. If you want the Jura look in an ordinary house, this is the one.

3300 to 6500 K — a wider range than most

3300 K warm, 4200 K natural, 6500 K daylight. That top figure goes well beyond the 5000 K most tri-colour fittings stop at, and through crystal it gives a hard, brilliant sparkle; at 3300 K the same fitting is warm and golden. Our record lists only two of the three — 3300 K is missing from it, and the fitting does have it.

Chrome or gold

Chrome is cool and pairs naturally with the 6500 K setting; gold is warm and belongs with 3300 K. On a 385 mm canopy under a 400 mm fitting, the frame is nearly all of what you see from below — so the finish choice matters more here than on a pendant.

Specifying it

ø400 mm by 80 mm high, canopy 385 × 35 mm, in crystal on stainless steel (one source also lists brass and aluminium). Integrated 40 W LED giving 4,000 lm, included, with switchable 3300 K / 4200 K / 6500 K, CRI >80. Dimmable — but the control type is not recorded; ask us before wiring a dimmer. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
