Product Description
xThe Jovaro EX24 is a 240 mm exterior wall light in black sand with textured water-glass panels — 12 W giving 710 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, IP43.
IP43, not IP44 — and the difference is real. Almost every sheltered-exterior fitting is IP44, which is rated against splashing water from any direction. IP43 is rated only against spraying water up to 60° from vertical — that is, water coming downward, not sideways. In practice: under an eave or a covered porch, yes; a wall that takes wind-driven rain from the side, no. It is one digit and it is the difference between a fitting that lasts and one that fills with water.
Water glass — the reason to choose it
Water glass is textured with an irregular rippled surface, like the underside of moving water. Lit from within, it breaks the light into a soft shifting pattern rather than a flat panel — so the fitting reads as alive rather than illuminated. On an entry at night that is what separates a character fitting from a bulkhead, and it is why the output figure matters less than usual.
710 lumens at CRI above 90
12 W giving 710 lm — enough to light a doorway and the ground in front of it, not just mark the wall. The CRI above 90 is unusual outdoors, where most fittings sit at 80, and it means brick, render and timber hold their real colour under it.
A 138 mm projection
240 mm high by 165 mm wide, standing 138 mm off the wall on a 120 mm backplate, at 1.14 kg. That projection carries the glass panels clear of the wall, which is what lets the texture be seen from the side as well as the front — but it is worth measuring in a narrow entry.
It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired, and not dimmable at a fixed 3000 K. A licensed electrician installs it — genuinely, on this page.
The smaller of two
The Jovaro also comes at 380 mm, at the same 12 W and 730 lm — so the larger size is taller without being brighter. Choose by proportion against the door, not by output: the 240 suits a standard doorway, the 380 a taller or wider entry.

What is IP43, and is it different from IP44?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
