Product Description
xThe James is a four-light fitting in antique brass, 500 mm wide and 390 mm high. Its order code is CTC — close to ceiling — which is the detail that decides where it can go.
Close to ceiling is the useful part
A four-light decorative fitting normally needs a void to hang in. This one mounts tight against the ceiling, so it works in a room with a standard 2.4 m ceiling where a hanging pendant would be a head-height obstacle or look stranded. That makes it one of the few ways to get four lights of decorative brass into a bedroom or a hallway.
Four E27 globes, none supplied
Each holder takes an E27 globe up to 25 W — 100 W across the fitting — and no globes are included. Four 25 W lamps is a lot of light for a bedroom, so if that is the room, buy dimmable globes and put it on a dimmer at the same time. Dimming is globe dependent; the fitting imposes nothing.

- Bedrooms and hallways with 2.4 m ceilings, mounted close to ceiling.
- Landings and stair heads, where a hanging fitting would be in the way.
- Dining rooms with the height to hang it instead.
- Apartments, where ceiling height rules out most decorative multi-light fittings.
Specifying it
It is 500 mm wide and 390 mm high in glass and metal, antique brass. Four E27 holders, 100 W total. It runs on 240 V, is IP20 and indoor only, and is Class I — an earth is required, so a licensed electrician installs it. Warranty is three years.

Can it be mounted flush to the ceiling?
Yes. It is a CTC — close to ceiling — fitting, which is why it suits rooms with standard 2.4 m ceilings.

How big is it?

Is it dimmable?
Globe dependent. With four 25 W lamps it is worth fitting dimmable globes and a dimmer, especially in a bedroom.
Is it too bright for a bedroom?
Four 25 W globes is a lot of light. Put it on a dimmer, or fit lower-wattage globes.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, and it requires an earth.
What is the warranty?
Three years, as a replacement warranty.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
