The Invar PE7 is a 550 mm seven-light pendant in nickel matt with glass shades — integrated 40 W giving 3,040 lm at 4000 K, CRI above 90, TRIAC dimmable, on a 3,000 mm suspension.
⚠ Two corrections to our own page, and the second one changes what the product is.
Our page never mentioned it. CRI above 90 is a real step above the >80 that almost everything in this catalogue records, and on a fitting that hangs over a dining table or a kitchen island it is the single specification that changes how the room looks:
It is paired with a COB LED source rather than the SMD used almost everywhere else in this range. Chip-on-board puts the emitters in a single dense array instead of a scatter of separate points, which gives a crisper, more directional light with cleaner shadows — and that is exactly what high CRI is worth having with. Together they make the Invar a genuinely good fitting to eat and cook under, and nobody was told.
4000 K is neutral white — brighter and cleaner than the 3000 K most pendants here use, and the right choice over a kitchen island where you work. Over a dining table only, it is cooler than traditional; the TRIAC dimming is what rescues that, because a neutral light taken low reads considerably warmer than a neutral light at full.
Ordinary wall dimmer, no special gear. On a 3,040-lumen fitting over a table, that matters.
⚠ This is a structural fixing, not a hook. 8.2 kg is well past a ceiling rose or a plasterboard anchor, and it hangs on 3,000 mm — so the mount takes movement as well as dead weight. Tell your electrician both figures before the ceiling is opened. On a joisted ceiling it may need a noggin.
3 metres of drop is aimed at stairwells and double-height spaces. Over a normal 2.4-metre ceiling most of it is shortened at installation — routine, but say so in advance.
Each glass shade is 130 mm, arranged across a 550 mm canopy. Seven separate sources spread over half a metre light a table evenly rather than pooling under one point — which is what a cluster is for, and why it beats a single large pendant over a rectangular table.
Nothing to maintain and nothing to replace. The LEDs are included, sealed and integrated: no globes to buy, no seven-way matching problem, no mixed brands flickering on the dimmer. The trade is that the colour is fixed at 4000 K and the fitting is finished when the LEDs are. In aluminium, iron and glass, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.
550 mm wide, shades 130 mm, suspension 3,000 mm, 8.2 kg, in aluminium, iron and glass, nickel matt. Integrated COB LEDs — 40 W TOTAL, not per lamp, giving 3,040 lm at 4000 K, included and not replaceable, CRI >90, TRIAC dimmable on an ordinary wall dimmer. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
40 watts in total — under six watts a light. Our page said “up to 40 W per lamp”, which across seven lights would be 280 W. That was wrong.
No — and the range copy on our page was misleading about this. It sold “exposed bulb aesthetics” and “simple suspended sockets”, which describe other members of the Invar family. This fitting has integrated LEDs: sealed, supplied, not replaceable, with nothing to screw anything into.
Over a table, a great deal — and our page never mentioned it. Food holds its colour instead of going grey, timber and stone read true, and skin looks healthy rather than washed out. Almost everything in this catalogue records >80; this records >90, paired with a COB source that gives crisper light and cleaner shadows.
It is cooler than traditional, and the TRIAC dimming is what rescues it — a neutral light taken low reads considerably warmer than a neutral light at full. Over a kitchen island where you work, 4000 K is the right choice outright.

Yes — TRIAC, on an ordinary wall dimmer, no special gear. On a 3,040-lumen fitting over a table that matters.
