Invar 1 Pendant Light

The Invar PE1 is a 130 mm single pendant in matt nickel with a glass shade — 6 W giving 460 lm at 4000 K, CRI above 90, TRIAC dimmable, on an adjustable 700–1,700 mm suspension.

The suspension is a range, not a length — and that is the useful part

Most pendants give a fixed cable you shorten at install, and once it is cut the decision is made. The Invar gives an adjustable range: 700 mm to 1,700 mm. So the same fitting works low over a bench and high over a table, and it can be re-set later if the room changes use. On a pendant you may hang in a rental or a room you are still working out, that is worth more than it sounds.

460 lumens from 6 watts, at CRI above 90

77 lm/W while holding CRI above 90 — two things that normally trade against each other. In a single 130 mm pendant that is a genuinely bright, genuinely accurate small light: enough to read or work under from close range, and honest about the colour of whatever is below it.

4000 K, and dim it to soften

Natural white, fixed — crisper than the 3000 K most decorative pendants use. It dims from an ordinary TRIAC leading-edge wall dimmer, and a dimmed 4000 K source warms noticeably as it drops. Over a bench, that combination is bright and neutral for working, low and softer in the evening.

Minimal hardware, by design

The Invar look is a simple suspended socket on a clean line, with a 130 mm glass shade. There is no decorative frame — the fitting is the cable, the socket and the glass, in aluminium, iron and glass, matt nickel, at 1.2 kg. At that weight it fixes to almost any ceiling.

The single of a family

Invar runs as this single pendant and a seven-light bar, sharing the same 4000 K, CRI above 90, TRIAC dimming and adjustable 700–1,700 mm suspension. Because the light is identical, a kitchen can run three singles over the bench and the bar over the table with no visible difference in colour or quality.
