A slim round pendant, 220mm across and only 58mm deep, sold in black and white. The Nella is a disc rather than a shade: there is no bowl, no diffuser hanging below the light source, just a flat circular body on a suspension. That shape is what makes it work over a bench or a table without blocking the view across the room.
At 20W it is a working pendant. Hung over a kitchen island, a desk or a small dining table, it does the lighting for that surface on its own rather than supplementing downlights.
The Nella is rated above 90 CRI, which is the specification that should decide whether this pendant belongs where you are putting it. Most domestic LED fittings sit above 80. The difference shows on food, skin, timber and fabric — precisely what sits under a pendant over an island bench or a dining table.
If the fitting is going over a surface where people eat, cook or work with their hands, that rating is worth more than another few hundred lumens.
The fitting draws 20W and is tri-colour, with the colour temperature selected at installation rather than fixed at manufacture: 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, rated at 1214lm, 1345lm and 1251lm respectively. Note that 4000K is the brightest of the three, which is also usually the right setting over a kitchen bench — warm enough to live with, neutral enough that food reads accurately.
The beam is 120°, so the light spreads across the surface rather than dropping in a column onto its centre.
The Nella is Triac dimmable and works with a conventional LED-rated wall dimmer, with no extra module on the circuit. On a pendant over a dining table that is close to essential — the same fitting has to work for homework at full output and for dinner at a third of it.
It runs on 240V AC mains and requires no driver. It is a Class 1 fitting and requires an earth connection, so installation is work for a licensed electrician. It is rated IP20 and IK04, making it a dry-interior fitting — not for a bathroom wet zone or any covered outdoor area.
Drop height is the decision that matters most and it is easy to get wrong. Over an island, the underside of a pendant typically sits well clear of the bench so it lights the surface without being at eye level for anyone standing at it. Decide that before the ceiling point is fixed, not after.
