A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The largest of the surface-mounted Nella bodies: Ø157 mm across and 85 mm deep, in black, running 18 W. At this diameter it stops being trim and becomes a fixture you will notice, which is the right trade in a high room, over a stairwell, or anywhere a smaller disc would look lost. Two of these will light a double garage properly; four will do a warehouse office.
Havit's row gives 1,380 lm at 3000K, 1,430 lm at 4000K and 1,305 lm at 5500K — so once again the peak is at 4000K, and the coolest setting is the dimmest of the three by about 9%. That is a bigger spread than on the 7 W and 12 W bodies, so it is worth being deliberate here: if you want the light cool and bright, this fitting will not give you both, and 4000K is the setting that gets closest. The beam is 120° and colour rendering is CRI >80.
Both part numbers on this page are 12 V DC. Eighteen watts at twelve volts is 1.5 A per fitting, which is more than twice what the 7 W model pulls, and at extra-low voltage current is what governs the cable rather than the wattage. Four of these on one driver is 72 W and 6 A on the low-voltage side, so keep the driver close to the fittings, keep the runs short and generously sized, and wire in parallel. Havit's own instruction is unambiguous: do not connect the light fitting directly to 240 V. The fitting is Protection Class 3 and takes no earth.
The base plate is Ø153 mm with three 4 × 10 mm slots and a single Ø4 mm hole; the body twists on. The second option on this page is the extension body, which is the same Ø157 mm shell in a longer housing — Havit does not publish an overall height for it in any sheet supplied with this product, so we have not quoted one. If the exact projection matters to your ceiling, ask us before you order and we will get the figure from Havit rather than estimate it.
It is IP54, IK07, behind a semi-frosted glass lens, with >30,000 hrs rated life and 3 years replacement warranty. Havit specifies the 12 V models as not dimmable, and excludes aluminium fittings from sites within 5 km of salt water. The colour switch is inside the body, preset to 3000K. Lights For You stocks this fitting in white as well as black and in 7 W and 12 W bodies for the smaller spans.
1,380 lm at 3000K, 1,430 lm at 4000K and 1,305 lm at 5500K. That is roughly two and a half times the 7 W body and about a quarter more than the 12 W.
4000K. The spread is wider on this model than the smaller two — the coolest setting is about 9% down on the peak — so choose the setting knowing that cool and bright are not the same choice here.
18 W at 12 V is 1.5 A per fitting. Current, not wattage, is what sizes the low-voltage cable, so keep the driver close to the fittings and the runs short and generously sized.
It is the same Ø157 mm shell in a longer housing. Havit does not publish an overall height for it in the sheets supplied with this product, so we have deliberately not quoted a figure — ask us and we will get it from Havit.
No. It runs at extra-low voltage and is Protection Class 3, so no earth is landed at the fitting.
Havit specifies the 12 V DC models as non-dimmable. Dimming would have to be handled by a driver designed for it.
A Ø153 mm base plate with three 4 × 10 mm slots and one Ø4 mm hole, fixed first; the fitting then plugs into its driver and twists onto the plate.
