Nepean LED Wall Light CCT

The Nepean is a 12 W fixed wall light with a polycarbonate diffuser rather than clear glass, and that single difference is the reason to choose it. A PC diffuser spreads the LED behind a soft white face instead of showing a bright aperture, so the fitting glows evenly and you can look at it without a hotspot in your eye. On an entry wall beside a door at head height that matters more than raw output.

Diffused, not directional

Where a glass-fronted fitting throws a defined beam, the Nepean’s diffuser scatters light across a wider, softer field. It is the better choice next to a doorway, along a passage wall, or anywhere a guest stands close to the fitting; it is the worse choice if you specifically want a tight scallop of light down a feature wall. Choose on that behaviour rather than on wattage.

Where it works

• Beside front and side entry doors, at or near head height, where glare would otherwise be a problem.
• Passage and side-access walls that need even light along their length rather than pools.
• Under eaves and in covered porches — IP54 handles rain and splashing.
• Apartment and townhouse entries where a soft-faced fitting suits a compact space.

Specifying it

A 12 W LED is built in, so there is no globe and no socket. Tri-colour switching is set at installation and each setting has its own output: 1,180 lm at 3000 K, 1,320 lm at 4000 K and 1,240 lm at 5500 K — note that 4000 K is the brightest of the three here, which is worth knowing if you are matching brightness across a facade. It runs on 240 V AC with no separate driver, is not dimmable, and CRI is above 80. The body is poly powder coated aluminium, IP54, in white or black at the same price.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. If you are pairing the Nepean with a glass-fronted fitting elsewhere on the same elevation, set both to the same colour temperature or the diffuser will read as a different white.

Coastal siting — Havit’s condition

Havit’s installation instructions for this fitting state that aluminium and 304 stainless steel fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environment. That is a condition on where the fitting may go, and it sits beside the IP rating rather than inside it: a fitting can be rated for direct rain and still fall outside this rule, because the issue is salt carried in the air rather than water landing on the surface. Earthing and protection class

This fitting runs on 240 V AC mains and is Protection Class 1 — an earth is required at the fitting. Havit's installation sheet has the installer connect the earth conductor first, then live and neutral.
