This Essil is sold in both voltages on one listing, and that is the decision to get right before finish or quantity. `HV3647T-*-240V` wires straight to mains; `HV3647T-*-12V` is low voltage and requires a 12 V DC LED driver. The bodies are identical, so a mis-ordered fitting looks correct on the bench and fails on the wall.

Which voltage to order

Choose 240 V when there is an existing mains wall point and only one or two fittings. Choose 12 V when several fittings share a run — one central driver, no earth needed at each fitting, and thinner cable. The 12 V version must never be connected directly to 240 V; doing so destroys it immediately and is not a warranty claim.

Specifying it

The 6 W LED is built in on both voltages — no globe, no socket. Tri-colour selection gives 360 lm at 3000 K, 375 lm at 4000 K and 390 lm at 5500 K, set at installation. Tempered glass, IP54, CRI above 80, not dimmable. Black and white, both voltages, all at the same price.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Order the driver at the same time as the 12 V fittings and size it for the whole run — the most common problem on this listing is the right fittings arriving with no driver.

Questions
What is the difference between the 240V and 12V versions?

Only the supply. `HV3647T-*-240V` wires to mains directly; `HV3647T-*-12V` needs a 12 V DC LED driver. The bodies are identical.

Can I wire the 12V version to mains?

No. It will be destroyed immediately and it is not a warranty claim.

Is there a globe to replace?

No. The 6 W LED is built in on both versions.

How bright is it?

360 lm at 3000 K, 375 lm at 4000 K and 390 lm at 5500 K.

Can it be dimmed?

No. This fitting is not dimmable on either voltage.

Which should I choose for several fittings?

The 12 V version from one central driver — thinner cable and no earth needed at each fitting. Size the driver for the whole run.

What is the warranty?

Three years, as a replacement warranty.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
