Porter Up & Down LED Wall Light

The Porter Large is the biggest fitting in this shape, and the numbers are what set it apart: 2 × 15 W of built-in LED throwing 2,700 lumens at 5500K, against the 10 W and 600 lm of the small squares. It is a facade fitting rather than a doorway one — enough output to wash two storeys of render, and the only up-and-down wall light in this range that is genuinely dimmable.

It dims, and that matters at this output

Havit rates the Porter as Triac dimmable, and at 2,700 lumens on a wall beside a bedroom window that is not a luxury. Pair it with a Triac (leading-edge) dimmer rated for the load — Havit's own HV9625 handles up to 300 W, which covers several of these on one circuit. Dimming has to be specified at the switch, so decide before the electrician fits a plain switch plate.

Specifying it

240 V AC direct to mains, no driver, and Class 1 — the earth is connected first and it is an electrician's job. The LED is built in: there is no globe to buy and none to replace, and at end of life the fitting is replaced rather than re-lamped. Output is 2,400 lm at 3000K, 2,550 lm at 4000K and 2,700 lm at 5500K for the fitting; Havit publishes those per head as 1,200, 1,275 and 1,350 lm, and there are two heads. Colour temperature is switchable across all three. Aluminium body in black or white, clear glass, 60° beam, IK08 impact rating, and a 3-year replacement warranty.

IP54 decides where it can go

The Porter is rated IP54 — splashing, not weather. On a two-storey facade that usually means the eave already protects it, but on an exposed gable or a wall with no overhang it will eventually take water. Havit also excludes aluminium fittings within 5 km of salt water, and requires every o-ring and seal to be seated correctly for the warranty to stand.
