The Aries is Havit’s up-and-down wall light in 316 stainless steel, sold here in polished stainless, black, white or antique brass and wired straight to 240 V mains. Two built-in LEDs throw a 60° beam up the wall and another down it, so a facade, an entry or a garage pier is lit by the wall itself rather than by a fitting you end up looking at.
Havit rates the Aries at 2 × 6 W, so the fitting draws 12 W in total. Its ordering table prints the output the same way — 2 × 448 lm, 2 × 576 lm and 2 × 534 lm — and that 2× prefix is Havit’s own marker for a twin-lamp fitting. Doubled out, it delivers 896 lm at 3000K, 1152 lm at 4000K and 1068 lm at 5500K. Those are the figures we publish, because they are the fitting’s total output: half of it goes up and half goes down.
Output does not climb steadily as the light gets cooler. 4000K is the brightest at 1152 lm; the coolest setting, 5500K, drops back to 1068 lm, and 3000K is the dimmest at 896 lm. On plenty of fittings the coolest setting is also the brightest, so it is worth checking per fitting rather than assuming.
It is tri-colour — 3000K, 4000K or 5500K — on a slide switch inside the base of the fitting, shipped preset to 3000K. Reaching it means loosening the allen screws in the side and lifting the body off its base plate, so the choice gets made on the ladder rather than at the switchboard. The beam is a fixed 60°, not adjustable, and the fitting is not dimmable.
There is one supply here: 240 V AC. It takes no driver and no transformer, and none is supplied. It is Class 1, so an earth is required — Havit’s instruction is to connect the earth first and then live and neutral. Where several sit on one run, they are wired in parallel.
Havit is explicit that all 316 and 304 stainless steel fittings must be cleaned regularly to avoid tea staining, and that the warranty does not cover tea staining. It is maintenance, not a fault, and it is the one exclusion on this fitting’s own instructions. Sealing matters too: all o-rings and seals must be correctly in place to maintain the warranty, the screws must be tight so water cannot penetrate, and silicone goes around the edge of the fitting on install. Modifying the fitting voids the warranty. Havit backs it for 3 years, replacement, on items ordered after 01/01/2022.
The body is Ø60 mm and it mounts on a base plate taking two Ø4 mm fixings around a Ø15 mm cable entry. Those are the only figures the drawing labels — the diameter symbol is the labelling — and the rest are printed without labelling which is height, which is width and which is the wall projection, so we publish no overall dimensions and no projection. It is IP65 behind clear glass, carries an IK08 impact rating and a rated life of >30,000 hrs. Lights For You stocks all four finishes and will check it against your wall and your circuit before you order.
They are already doubled here. Havit prints 2 × 448 lm, 2 × 576 lm and 2 × 534 lm against a 2 × 6 W rating, which is its own notation for a twin-lamp fitting, so the whole fitting produces 896, 1152 and 1068 lm. Those totals are what we publish and what the specification table shows.
4000K, at 1152 lm. The coolest setting is not the brightest on this fitting — 5500K gives 1068 lm and 3000K the least at 896 lm. It is worth checking per fitting rather than assuming, because the order is not the same across the range.
There is a slide switch inside the base of the fitting. Loosen the allen screws in the side, lift the body off its base plate, choose 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, then reseat it with all seals correctly in place and the screws tight so water cannot penetrate. It arrives preset to 3000K.
Neither. This is a 240 V AC mains fitting that wires straight to the circuit. It is Class 1, so an earth is required, and Havit asks for the earth to be connected before live and neutral. Fittings sharing a run are wired in parallel.
No. Havit’s current data sheet and its installation instructions both record this model as not dimmable. If you want an exterior wall light you can dim, ask us — there is a solid brass version of this same fitting that is Triac dimmable, and we can quote it.
It can, and Havit says so plainly: 316 and 304 stainless steel fittings need regular cleaning to avoid tea staining, and the warranty does not cover tea staining. It shows as a brown surface bloom rather than rust, and washing the fitting down as part of ordinary maintenance is what prevents it.
No. The LEDs are built into the fitting — there is no lamp holder, no socket and nothing to replace. That is also why the colour temperature is chosen on the switch in the base rather than by buying a different lamp.
We do not publish that figure. Havit’s drawing prints the body’s measurements without saying which is height, which is width and which is the projection, and a guessed projection on a wall light is exactly how one gets sent back. What is labelled — the Ø60 mm body, the Ø15 mm cable entry and the two Ø4 mm fixings — is in the table above, and the dimensioned drawing is in the data sheet on this page.
