The Aries Solid Brass is the same up-and-down wall light cast in solid brass rather than stainless, on 240 V mains. Two built-in LEDs throw a 60° beam up the wall and another down it. Two things separate it from the stainless version beyond the metal: it is Triac dimmable, and it switches across five colour temperatures instead of three.
Havit rates it at 2 × 6 W, so the fitting draws 12 W. The ordering table prints its output with the same 2× prefix — 2 × 400, 390, 425, 450 and 465 lm — which doubles out to 800 lm at 2700K, 780 lm at 3000K, 850 lm at 4000K, 900 lm at 5000K and 930 lm at 5700K. Those are the fitting’s totals, half thrown up and half down.
5700K is the brightest at 930 lm, and the dimmest setting is not the warmest one: 3000K sits at 780 lm, below 2700K’s 800 lm. It is a small dip, it is Havit’s own measured figure rather than a rounding artefact, and we print the five values in the order the sheet gives them rather than tidying them into a rising list.
Choose 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K or 5700K on a slide switch inside the base of the fitting; it ships preset to 3000K. Getting to the switch means loosening the allen screws in the side and lifting the body off its base plate, so it is set on installation. The beam is a fixed 60°, not adjustable.
This one is dimmable, on a Triac dimmer — Havit lists a compatible Triac dimmer as an optional accessory and we can quote one alongside the fitting. The supply is 240 V AC only: it takes no driver and no transformer, and none is supplied. It is Class 1, so an earth is required, connected before live and neutral, and fittings sharing a run are wired in parallel.
Havit states plainly that solid brass fittings will naturally tarnish. Outdoors the polished face dulls and darkens over months into a patina; if you want it bright it needs polishing, and if you want it even, let it weather without interruption. Sealing is a warranty condition: all o-rings and seals must be correctly in place, the screws tight so water cannot penetrate, and silicone applied around the edge of the fitting on install. Modifying the fitting voids the warranty. Havit backs it for 3 years, replacement, on items ordered after 01/01/2022.
The body is Ø60 mm, on a base plate taking two Ø4 mm fixings around a Ø15 mm cable entry — the only figures Havit’s drawing labels, because the diameter symbol is the labelling. The remaining numbers are printed without labelling which is height, which is width and which is the wall projection, so we publish no overall dimensions and no projection. It is IP65 behind clear glass, carries an IK08 impact rating and a rated life of >30,000 hrs. Lights For You holds it in solid brass and will match it to the rest of your exterior before you order.
They are already doubled here. Havit prints 2 × 400, 390, 425, 450 and 465 lm against a 2 × 6 W rating — its own notation for a twin-lamp fitting — so the whole fitting produces 800, 780, 850, 900 and 930 lm. Those totals are what we publish and what the table above shows.
5700K, at 930 lm. And the dimmest is not the warmest: 3000K gives 780 lm, slightly less than 2700K’s 800 lm. The five figures do not rise in a straight line, and we publish them in the order Havit measured them.
Yes — it is Triac dimmable, which Havit states on both its current data sheet and its installation instructions. Havit lists a compatible Triac dimmer as an optional accessory; ask us and we will quote one with the fitting so the pair is matched.
There is a slide switch inside the base of the fitting. Loosen the allen screws in the side, lift the body off its base plate, choose 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K or 5700K, then reseat it with all seals correctly in place and the screws tight so water cannot penetrate. It arrives preset to 3000K.
Neither. It is a 240 V AC mains fitting and it wires straight to the circuit. It is Class 1, so an earth is required, connected before live and neutral, and fittings sharing a run are wired in parallel.
Yes, and Havit says so: solid brass fittings will naturally tarnish. Left alone outdoors the polished face darkens into a patina over months. Polishing brings it back; the thing to avoid is polishing one fitting and not the next, because an uneven run is far more obvious than an evenly weathered one.
No. The LEDs are built into the fitting — there is no lamp holder, no socket and nothing to replace. That is also why the colour temperature is chosen on the switch in the base rather than by buying a different lamp.
We do not publish that figure. Havit’s drawing prints the body’s measurements without saying which is height, which is width and which is the projection, and a guessed projection on a wall light is how one gets sent back. What is labelled — the Ø60 mm body, the Ø15 mm cable entry and the two Ø4 mm fixings — is in the table above, and the dimensioned drawing is in the data sheet on this page.
