Product Description
xThe solid brass Aries is the same slim down-light cylinder as the aluminium version, in the material you buy when the fitting has to last in a hostile position and look better for having been there. Solid brass does not rely on a coating: it weathers to a patina rather than blistering, which is why it is the standard specification for beachfront and poolside walls where powder coat eventually lifts. It costs roughly twice the aluminium version, and that difference is entirely about material and longevity, not performance — the optics and output are the same.
Where it works

Specifying it
HV3625S-BR runs on 240 V AC, so it wires straight to mains with no driver required, and needs an earth as a Class I fitting. The 6 W COB LED is built in — no globe to buy, none to replace. Five colour temperatures are selectable at 615 lm for 2700K, 630 lm for 3000K, 700 lm for 4000K, 750 lm for 5000K and 790 lm for 5700K, through a 60° beam that puts a defined pool of light below the fitting rather than washing the wall. Clear glass diffuser, IP65 for direct rain and coastal exposure, IK08 for impact. Triac dimmable. Rated life is over 30,000 hours. A 3-year replacement warranty applies.
Living with brass
Unlacquered solid brass outdoors will darken and mottle within months, and near salt water faster than that. This is expected behaviour, not a defect. If you want every fitting on an elevation to age identically, install them at the same time; a brass fitting added a year later will stay visibly brighter for a season.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You; solid brass is the Aries to choose within sight of the water, and installing the whole run at once is what keeps the patina even across an elevation.
Questions
Does it require a driver?
No. HV3625S-BR is 240 V AC and wires directly to mains. It must be earthed as a Class I fitting.
Is there a globe to replace?
No. The 6 W COB LED is built in, so no globe is needed and none can be fitted.
Why choose brass over the aluminium version?
Solid brass does not depend on a coating, so it patinas rather than blistering. Near salt water or chlorine that is the difference between a fitting that ages and one that fails.
Will the brass stay shiny?
No. It darkens and mottles outdoors, faster near the coast. That patina is expected and is not a warranty fault.
What colour temperatures does it offer?
Five: 2700K at 615 lm, 3000K at 630 lm, 4000K at 700 lm, 5000K at 750 lm and 5700K at 790 lm.
What sort of beam does it throw?
A 60° downward beam — a defined pool of light below the fitting rather than a wash up the wall.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, with a triac dimmer.
What is the warranty?

Warranties, Return & Refund Policy
xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
