Fino Square Outdoor LED Step Light CCT 3w

Fino Square is a surface-mounted step light with a flat 105 × 105 mm face that stands only 23 mm off the wall, so it reads as a lit square rather than a protruding fitting. The 3 W LED sits behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser and spreads at 120°, which is the point of the design: it washes the wall and the ground beside it evenly instead of throwing a hot spot. Available in black or white powder-coated aluminium.

The choice to make: surface-mounted, not recessed

Fino Square fixes to the face of a wall, so there is no cutout, no canister and no patching — which makes it the practical choice on rendered masonry, blockwork or a finished retaining wall where cutting a recess is expensive or impossible. In return, it is visible in daylight, so its 23 mm depth and square proportion matter to the look as much as the light does. IK08 impact rating means it tolerates the knocks a low-mounted fitting collects.

Where it works

• External stair flights and landings where each tread wall takes one fitting at ankle height.
• Rendered garden and retaining walls along a path, on an existing low-voltage garden circuit.
• Undercroft, carpark and apartment access ways where IK08 impact resistance is worth having at knee height.

Specifying it

Rated IP54: it handles splashing and rain-blown damp in a position with some shelter, and is not intended for a spot that takes standing water or direct driving rain. Tri-colour selectable, with output paired to temperature as 30 lm at 3000K, 33 lm at 4000K and 32 lm at 5500K.

It is a 12 V DC fitting and requires a 12 V DC LED driver; it must never be connected directly to 240 V. Havit's warranty requires each fitting to sit within 25 m of its driver. The LED is built in — no globe is needed or possible. Not dimmable. Installation by a licensed electrician.
