HV3007T-SS316-12V | HV3007T-SS316-240V - Bata 316 Stainless Steel 3w LED Brick Light

Bare 316 marine-grade stainless in the smallest Bata body. 316 is the molybdenum-bearing grade specified for coastal work — it is what holds up where 304 stainless pits and browns after a season of salt air — and here it wraps a plain-face fitting that needs only a 105 × 41 mm aperture. That combination is why this one turns up on poolside coping, jetty steps and front elevations where the wall is too thin for a larger body.

Stainless comes with a maintenance obligation

Havit's installation sheet is unambiguous: all 316 stainless fittings must have regular cleaning maintenance to prevent tea staining, and tea staining is not covered by the warranty. Tea staining is the brown surface bloom that forms where airborne salt sits undisturbed — cosmetic rather than structural, and preventable with a fresh-water rinse. Havit lists part HV9971, a stainless maintenance kit with a rejuvenating paste and a protective spray, for restoring a face that has already bloomed. The same sheet asks that aluminium, 304 stainless and powder-coated 316 stainless fittings be kept 5 km from salt water; this cover is uncoated 316, but the body behind it is aluminium, so the limit still applies to the fitting.

Aperture, depth, and why the size matters here

105 × 41 mm with the canister, 103 × 35 mm without, 58 mm deep — the installation sheet and Havit's product page agree exactly on all three. The 6 W Bata needs 159 × 58 mm, so the two sizes are not interchangeable once a wall is cut. Spring clips for gyprock ship in the box alongside the canister option, which covers a rendered garden wall and a lined entry ceiling with one order code.

Output

240, 255 and 270 lumens across 3000 K, 4000 K and 5500 K, chosen at installation from a slide switch on the LED panel. That is an accent level — enough to mark a step or graze the wall beneath it, not enough to light an area. IP54, IK06, 120° beam, CRI above 80, frosted tempered glass, and a built-in 3 W LED on a replaceable panel with no globe and no socket to buy. It does not dim on either supply.

Wiring

240 V is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth. 12 V DC is Class 3 and requires none, but it must run from a 12 V DC LED driver — never directly off mains. Keep a 12 V fitting within 25 m of its driver with supply inside ±5% of rated voltage or the warranty lapses. Wiring is parallel; the 150 mm tail should be soldered and heat-shrunk, or joined with a gel-filled IP67 connector, to stay watertight inside the wall.
