HV3007T-BLK-12V | HV3007T-BLK-240V - Bata Black 3w LED Brick Light

This is the small one. The 3 W Bata takes a 105 × 41 mm aperture against the 6 W model's 159 × 58, which makes it the version that fits where the bigger body will not — a single skin of brickwork, a narrow pier, a retaining wall with reinforcement close behind. In powder-coated black with a plain face, it reads as a recessed slot by day and disappears entirely once it is lit.

What 3 W is actually for

At 240 to 270 lumens this is an accent and wayfinding fitting, not a flood. It will mark the edge of a step, wash the 600 mm of wall below it, and make a path legible after dark. It will not light a driveway or throw usable light across a courtyard — if that is the job, the 6 W HV3005T or the 10 W HV3003T is the right fitting. Spaced at roughly two to three metres along a path, the 3 W gives an even run without hot spots, which is usually what people are picturing.

⚠ The 3 W and the 6 W are not interchangeable in one hole

This is worth stating plainly because it catches people mid-project. The two sizes take different apertures — 105 × 41 mm here, 159 × 58 mm for the 6 W — so you cannot decide the wattage after the walls are up. Establish the output you want, then cut. Going from a 3 W hole to a 6 W one means enlarging masonry that has already been finished.

The numbers to build to

105 × 41 mm with the canister, 103 × 35 mm without, and 58 mm of depth behind the face. Both figures come from Havit's installation sheet and its product page, which agree exactly. It also ships with spring clips for gyprock, so the same order code handles a masonry wall via canister and a lined soffit via clips. Cut one and test-fit before running the rest.

Wiring, and the two things that void the warranty

The two order codes are electrically different fittings. 240 V is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth; 12 V DC is Class 3 and needs none, but it does require a 12 V DC LED driver — Havit's instructions state in capitals that a 12 V fitting must never be wired straight to mains. On the low-voltage code, keep it within 25 m of that driver with supply inside ±5% of rated voltage, or the warranty is void. Wiring is parallel and the tail is 150 mm.

The rest of it

IP54 and IK06 behind frosted tempered glass, a 120° beam, CRI above 80, and a built-in 3 W LED on a replaceable panel — no globe, no socket. A slide switch on that panel picks 3000 K, 4000 K or 5500 K at install for 240, 255 and 270 lumens; it ships warm. It does not dim on either supply voltage. Havit asks that powder-coated 316 stainless fittings, this black finish among them, stay 5 km from salt water.
