HV3006T-WHT-12V | HV3006T-WHT-240V - Bata White 6w LED Brick Light

A white grill on a white wall is about as close as a recessed fitting gets to invisible. This is the grill-faced 6 W Bata in poly powder coated white — blades across the aperture to keep the LED panel out of direct view, in the finish that reads as part of a rendered or painted elevation rather than an object attached to it.

The reason to choose a grill

Recessed at shin or knee height, a plain aperture puts a bright rectangle roughly where an approaching eye lands. The grill breaks that into a band and pushes the light down and across the surface, which is the effect most people are picturing when they specify a brick light in the first place. Nothing else changes: the HV3006T shares the plain HV3005T's body, cut-out, output, IP rating and price.

Cut-out and depth

Havit publishes apertures for the 6 W Bata that the 10 W models do not have: 159 × 58 mm with the canister, 155 × 50 mm without, and 60 mm of installation depth. On a rendered blockwork wall the depth is normally the constraint, so establish it before the render goes on. As always, cut one and test-fit before running a whole elevation.

Canister in masonry, clips in gyprock

The 6 W Bata ships with spring clips for plasterboard as well as taking a canister, so a single order code handles an external garden wall and a lined entry ceiling. That is a practical reason to prefer this size when one job spans both conditions.

It will not dim

Both of Havit's documents for this model record Dimmable: No, on 240 V and 12 V alike. The larger grilled model, the 10 W HV3004T, is Triac dimmable on its 240 V code — so the range is not consistent on this point, and it is worth checking the drawing before choosing a wattage.

Electrical, per code

240 V is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth. 12 V DC is Class 3 and needs none, but it does need a 12 V DC LED driver — Havit's instructions are emphatic that a 12 V fitting must never go directly onto mains. On the low-voltage code, keep it within 25 m of the driver and supply within ±5% of rated voltage or the warranty lapses. Wiring is parallel and the tail is 150 mm.

Everything else

IP54, IK06, frosted tempered glass, a 120° beam and CRI above 80. The 6 W LED is built in on a replaceable panel — no globe, no socket — and a slide switch selects 3000 K, 4000 K or 5500 K at install for 480, 510 and 540 lumens. Havit asks that powder-coated 316 stainless fittings, this white finish among them, be kept 5 km from salt water.
